Well just cut up and split the last big logs to dry for the current season.

They will be ready for next year.

In the interim, my 4 bush cords should last me for this year.

Love my airtight fireplace insert in the basement and the heat it gives us for the whole house.

It also cuts down on the heating costs for the house.

Started it 4 days ago, but stopped it when the weather warmed up, but will start it again when the temp gets below 5 degrees.

A lot of work, but well worth the effort.

Nothing beats a natural wood fireplace, the sight and the heat are terrific.

Hi zfurman .. Happy Halloween !! Hope your doing good.. I have Electric furnace in my home , fireplace with propane but best thing I like best is my wood furnace that I use 90% time .. it's best thing that I find keep me sooo nice and toasty warm .. yes .. it's a lot of work that's for sure but worth work and I enjoy packing wood up in piles.. when weather is nice it drys out good .. when fall comes bring it in then it throws off sooo much heat .. feel like I died went heaven !! Take care enjoy fireplace
