Talize

But probably my best brag was that I got to spend the night before my birthday in Niagara Falls and then spend my actual birthday at the beach with my kids for a much needed break and just got to relax, have fun and forget about everything for two days.

I haven't been posting a lot of my garage sale finds lately because I've been so busy! I ended up furnishing my new (first) place with couches, a scrapbooking organizer (using as a tv stand, lots of drawers and shelves!), bar-height dining table and chairs, and a couple shelves, for under $100!
I also bought an old workbench for $15 and stained/painted/replaced hardware and made it into an absolutely GORGEOUS kitchen island.
But my best ever once-in-a-lifetime deal came today! I found a Vitamix (manufactured in 2006) for $5!!!!
FIVE dollars! I just about keeled over when I read that. I had to send my mom to pick it up since I was working. She is the greatest It isn't in perfect condition, the blades are a little chipped, but FIVE DOLLARS???
I paid $75 for the one I have now, I posted about that last year, and I thought that was an incredible steal!

Visited the Atlantic Superstore this morning, on clearance was the Oral B 2000 for $40 (reg $100). Luckily had the $10 off insert coupon. Taxes in $36. Replacement heads pack of 3 for $12 (reg $25). I'll be smiling to start the week. .

I spent $.27 as I used $150.00 in GC's from Shop.NHL.com that I won to get 3 coffee mugs, 1 T shirt and a throw blanket all in Maple Leaf logos even though I am not a hockey fan. I would not normally shop there as it is also expensive too.

Picked up a few items today before the sale ended on one of them....
Walmart:
Papermate Pens (10pk): $0.97 = $1.10 - $1.00 = $0.10
Would've gotten A LOT more but they didn't have/ I didn't see the Walmart magazine in my store, I only had the insert coupon
Food Basics:
Tia Rosa Fajita/Taco Kits (6): $29.94 - SALE($12.66 OFF) - $15.00(6 @ $2.50 Smartsource) = $2.28/6!!
A lot cheaper than Old El Paso, never had it before, but figured for the price it was worth a try, especially on my budget for school!!

I saw a lady post on Facebook. She is giving away regular apples from her large tree. I picked a medium sized box full last night. I washed, chopped and froze 2 large freezer bags full to make into apple crisps at s later date. My hands are sore, but I'm quite happy with the savings. I still have some more apples to process. I'm hoping to go and pick more, I've shared the info with a couple of friends. I might also make apple sauce for the freezer. The owners of the tree are happy to see the apples going to use. Apples are quite expensive from the store.
