just couldn't stop myself from making up another large batch of turkey soup. DH made the last one but the weather is causing us to crave the comfort foods. Mine was more of a kitchen sink soup using up what remained in the fridge/cupboards.
Spoiled ourselves by simmering 4 packages of those fresh turkey thighs in 4 cartons of broth, plus a bit more water. Lots of onion, celery, diced cabbage, butternut squash, few green beans and green onions, the last handful of our brown rice, some lentils and barley.
DD just cycled over to her friends place to deliver her a serving. Awww, they all take care of one another.

yesterday evening we were coming home from a drive-by birthday for my grandson and saw the resto La Belle Province (hot dog/hamburger fries joint) and stopped in (take out only) we bought 3 dogs and 1 french fry. And ate in the car.
today it is supposed to rain all day, so for supper im making a beef stew with potatoes, carrots, onions, turnips, garlic, and some fresh pies. And will make a baguette bread (frozen from Costco) just before supper.

Who says the English don't make gourmet food?
Double-header Monday night football food.
P.S. , that's not my pink blender in the background!
I borrowed it from someone.....sometime.....not sure when, honest.Last edited by rock lobster; Mon, Oct 19th, 2020 at 04:36 PM.

change of plans yesterday. We were supposed to have beef stew; instead it was a stir fry with some frozen vegies i found in the freezer over steamed rice.
today it will definitely be beef stew because i already got it on the stove!

We're having steak, sweet potatoes and salad.
I went into the store to buy stewing beef, it was an astounding $17 for a large pack.
A 4 pack of striploins came in at $15.50 so the decision was easy3.50 125.00 30.00
