September 2021 frugal chatter; Almost Fall!!!

IThe power was turned off at our house for 8.5hrs today. I checked in with the electrician periodically throughout the day while he replaced and upgraded the power box for the entire house. I spent most of the day cleaning at our old house. I washed the carpets in the two smaller bedrooms, scrubbed out the large pantry, washed out most of the top cupboards and walls above them in the kitchen, swept out 1/2 the garage, spray washed the siding of the house that is on the side of the house with the large back deck. I also harvested 6 cups of cherry tomatoes and 8 medium/large tomatoes and watered the garden. We are still in a drought, sk it’s been weeks since it rained last. No Frills parking lot was very full, so I’ll go there tomorrow. I went to WM for dish detergent tabs, bought 20ct sidewalk chalk for $1, and a nice hummingbird feeder for $7.

the power was not turned in at our house until 5:30pm, which is much later than the electrician had estimated. He has to come back tomorrow to finish up. Anyway, that resulted in a change of plants for supper. We had steak and veggie wraps tonight. Cherry tomatoes and lettuce leaves from my buckets of lettuce. I plan on bringing those icecream buckets of lettuce into the house when frost is threatening. I’ll need to figure out how to prevent bringing in little bugs with those plants.

Tomorrow’s supper plan Is steamed cauliflower, Swiss chard, zucchini & tomatoes, mushrooms, steak, M&C

edit: I stayed up late last night doing laundry because ds has lost some of his favourite masks so I currently have to do laundry more often. My mom made and mailed out new masks in August but they were too big. So my mom made different masks that are currently in the mail.

I think I got it why kelloggs fpcs rice krispies is with a account now...I see so many people abusing in french fb couponning group..like she showed 28 fpcs coupons,...wtf how she does that..??? that piss me and frustrated me....many devices and many browser and computer »I guess....

Morning!

Took the leftover rice, brocoli and chicken and made DS chicken fried rice. Added other stuff for it.
Kitchen is clean ! So many dishes but it is all done now.

Need to grab a few things at Food Basics and will pay with change in the self checkout. I love that!!!

I don’t think you can fault people for taking advantage of the loophole for the FPC. It is all part of the game.

cath-i do agree when i went into fortinos last week the whole board was almost gone i did manage to get the balderson cheese one 1.50 so i was happy about that cpn

All grandkids went to school today even little cara into JK,sebastain went to a new school today as my daughter is in a different area-so i hope he makes friends and ashlyn loves school.

This morning i returned 2 items to toysrus-i decided one was too much and the other gift he already got from his dad's side .Then i donated to value village and got 20% off cpn then home .

I need to fully move my clothing back into my bedroom today .

The kitchen is spotless. I scrubbed the sink and stove and it all looks and smells so good.

Just had a shower and put on capris and tank top. While I still can! I'm not ready for winter at all

Good Evening Everyone,
WOW busy couple of days, I was on the road yesterday in an out of town branch working with them, spent about 6 hours in my car. Well I was out of town yesterday I got a call, one of our managers needed me to cover them so that is where I was today. This week has not been my week my schedule is all over the place and I have to keep changing my schedule to accommodate.

Yesterday on my way home I stopped at No Frills and grabbed:
2 x 2.5 lbs of Peppers $2.97 (Did not realize they were cheaper this week, since I was out of town I did not get to check the flyers before I went, oh well can't change it now)
2 x Vanilla Yogurt $1.97

I really only needed 1 bag of peppers but I found one with some smaller peppers I can use to make stuff peppers for dinner next week.

Then tonight after work since I was working close to RCSS I ran in to grab a few things:
2 x 10 lb Onions $2.98 - Great timing we were super low on onions but lately they seem to expensive
1 x 10 lb Carrots $2.98
2 x 10 lb White Potatoes $1.88
4 x Mushrooms $0.97 - PM No Frills

I feel like this was a classic Winter Stew shop but I am happy to stock up on these items as I know as we switch over to our winter favourites we will be using more of these items.

There are still a few more stores I want to go to, this was one of those weeks where pretty much all stores had stuff on sale we needed. I was going to try to PM more when I went shopping today but I was tired and just wanted to grab what we needed and head home. It was already heavy enough to haul in.

The plan for this weekend is to spend some time with our freezers and see what we have and what we need to get. I think most meat we are good on the only thing we may need is more chicken. I think we are fully stocked on frozen fruits and veg but I want to make sure before we go.

Today I fixed up the paint in a couple of rooms at the old house. I washed the carpet in the master bedroom at the old house. I washed the area around the washer/dryer and the large storage cupboards above. I also scrubbed out two of the walls around the stove. I’ll try to finish the last wall section and outsides of the stove tomorrow morning before I leave to my appointment.

I also did a small NF trip and redeemed $30 in points. Cooked a nice supper and celebrated ds’ 9th birthday. It’s been a busy day.

I would have love to purchase just blueberries cereals but only 3 box left...we are at the first day of the sale at dinner time and already cleared...like come on
And I could had done a bit better with more 2$ blueberries coupons and 2 fpcs kelloggs from the B2G1 promo but that did not happen...

so 3 boxes of blueberries and 4 boxes of yogurt and fruits.

so 4x fpcs at 3,98$
and 3 at 3,98$ minus 2,00$ coupons x3=1,98$ per box so 5,94$ for 3 box

oop;5,94$ and I made 12 000 points so profit of 6,06$ love that.. first time I make a bit of profit.And I will maybe submit receipt for 2,00$ back x3 in ch51...will try at least hope the offer is still there..i will check that tomorrow morning....nothing to loose.

Stella is hidden in the bathroom sink..she is cute!!! I took pictures and made 1 video for my fb familly and friends
Life insurance saga is almost resolved...I called back and said it is urgent to resolve that so I got a call back 10 minutes after from the director.I will low if possible my current policy and make a bit of investment.I have an appointement with a sale person counsellor next week the september 16. so i can almost check that off my I have enough on my plate list hahaha....
I dont know if this is a good decision I am making but with the news and the cost I got an estimation by the other dentist it is not worted...so the teeth will be pulled off.....The others dentist just have place in january and my teeth wont last that long plus it is like 2000$ ...so ....nop...I will talk of that with my current dentist at my exams cleaning appointement september morning 16....Hope he have space not a too long waiting list....
And the others dentist could not suggest me another dentist who does rooth canal treatment so ........i am so tired of this teeth....
And the appoitement would have been a afternoon completely..not sure I could have handle that...I was suppose to have a rooth canal 8 years ago with my now in retreat dentist and he said I could not handle it so......
My cousine had a rooth canal 8 years ago but she have insurance and it costed her 3,300 $ .........wow

I was supposed to get 3 silk fpcs in the mail last week...nothing ..so I rewrithe to the compagny...they are lost...altrought they have pu tthe good adress...and she cannot send others coupons currently dont have others ...grrr so frustrating.. or the mail take longer that expected...
I got all my old navy and reitmans parcels(separate shipping,order was not all ready in the same time) and the t shirts all fit properly..that is awesome!!!

Good Morning Everyone,
Up early and getting the work stuff done.

Allergies are super real right now, I am so congested. Not sure what is pollinating but it is killing me.

I am a little bit behind on my house work I had planned for this week as I expected to have an extra day working from home where I was going to get all the things done. Yesterday was supposed to be bedding day, thinking I might try to get that done today. I was just really hoping to be further ahead by today but it is what it is, time to regroup and adjust the plan.

So much going on in my head right now, I am thinking of work stuff I need to get done, house stuff I need to tackle, a meal plan to make for next week, ingredient prep to keep us on track. I am excited, I feel like I am getting back on track but also a little overwhelmed so much to get done but I am not shutting down which is always a bonus. Does anyone else do that, when you get completely overwhelmed you just start to shut down?

Good morning and TGIF!

Upgraded DS's phone last night because it actually costs less money now each month. So he gets a brand new phone, ear buds, etc , cheaper cost monthly and I received Costco gift cards I literally walked out paying $0. Even thee admin fee was waived with another promo they have. My turn to upgrade next month. I am in no rush but excited to see the promos. PC pts or Costco gift cards- whichever has the most kick back (which is usually Costco) DS and I can sell our current phones too since they are both crack free.

Getting a few work things out of the way and then get some stuff done around the house.
