Good morning everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!!! The boiling water notice is gone since yesterday afternoon so happy ,it was a pain....

so sad..no more 2$ kashis cereals coupons and no more 2$ kashis cereals bars coupons on the kelloggs portal....I loved those coupons because I buy those products every week and they are expensive....
I woke up at 9:00 am so a little extra sleep compared to the 6:30 am the week days for life project is good!!! I did 2 loads of laundry!!!
The weather is now 14 degres and maybe we will have a little rain.

    Have a fabulous day!!!

    Good Morning Everyone,
I have to admit I am telling my body to get up and get moving let's get this day going but my whole body is like nope, let's wrap in a blanket and chill on the couch.

I spent some time on Pinterest, I was looking for a Strawberry recipe to make something for dessert, got distracted and found a bunch of new dinner recipes to make.

I have to admit, I am full on fall, I am all about the soups and stews right now. I found some new recipes to try.

Tonight's dinner will be a Steak we pulled out yesterday for dinner with a Mashed Potato Bake to use up some leftover mashed potatoes we have in the fridge. Will also make Sauteed Mushrooms & Onions to use up some of the older mushrooms and Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts to use up an open bag of Brussel Sprouts in the freezer. Will probably also make a Caesar Salad as it sounds good.

Today may be one of those days where all I get done is dinner but that is okay, we all need a day off here and there

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

Sunny clear day, it’s a bit cool and slightly windy but I am going paddling I look at every trip as my last of the season now as I don’t plan to buy cold water gear at my current weight. Dinner tonight is chicken parmigiana made by the older son so I don’t have much to do today. I will stop at NoFrills on my way home but that’s about it. I had planned to put a load of laundry on the line but my son threw it in the dryer last night when he was doing laundry. So I can’t complain about that.

I went to an event called in french ''the bouquinnistes'' it is in a place they are just book many novels the books-novels where 3$ and the pocket books where 2$ .The raised money will go to a charity for poor foundation.I found many books in french(I am french) like mary higgings clark, danielle steel, marc levy, kenn follet ....etc and the tag in the book was still there average of 30$ per book...so I paid 59$ for 20 books ,so I saved like 570$ lol...amazing....!!!! They where surprise book boxe for 25$ but no I want to know what I read..Looking forward to the next year event!!! But you have to know what witch author you want and have your time to search it is so desorganiszate...It was in a communauty center.

DS and I went to visit my mom. Her house reno is almost done. Just new kitchen cupboards/counter and sink which should be done Oct/Nov

Dropped DS off at home and went to RCSS for the butter and found 2.75 kg of frozen fruit on clearance for .94 with March and April 2023 expiry date!! Grabbed 12. Freezer is full. Honestly we are set for winter.

We have been busy with contractors at our house over the last month. The necessary plumbing work, replaced and upgraded the electrical box, and new furnace. We’re still waiting for more work to get done. The Air Conditioning has to be replaced, but that will wait until spring. We are experiencing yet another hot snap, which is making meal plans more difficult.

Tonight we had baked chicken thighs, M&C, and mixed veggies.

@cath007 Wow, what a deal on books! Our public library won't be having its annual book sale (run by a service club) this year as I asked recently about it. I love going through piles of books. I should see if the next two cities over have any used book sales coming up soon.
Can I ask how you found out about the free lamination deal at Bureaupro for your vaccine passport? I could not find it on the Staples site--it's a great offer if anyone who might not be near a library that could offer it.
Sorry to understand that you or family have to use bottled water due to water contamination issue-that is hard!
@Frugalbigmama You are so ahead of the anticipated frozen fruit price hike (due to Chile's drought!). Hope your DS is thoroughly impressed by your grocery deal hauls!
@SassyAshley Lovely way to enjoy a weekend day! You deserve more days like today!

OK, SCers, listen up if you have intentions to order anything from the US by mail for you/family, for holiday gifts or as part of updating things at home before winter: US Postal Services intends to slow down deliveries as of Oct. 1. Part of a reduced energy push by cutting back on airplane usage and more use of ground vehicles.

Younger son made spaghetti to go with dinner as in from scratch made the pasta. It was really good. His older brother the one that we call the chef has always been frustrated by pasta so he was impressed. He has the pasta machine for cutting it so that helped. I stayed out of the kitchen and when I came back it was flour free.
it was far windier than I expected today so I did less than an hour but realized the wind was just too much so did not get to stand. Then I came home to do some tidying and found some stuff to post on the freebie site. Now I am enjoying the fireplace outside. Sad the weekend blew by us.
