    Good Morning! November!! Wow!

Today should be a pretty quiet work day. Get all the work things done and then hopefully get out for some fresh air. My vehicle needs some tidying. Piles of books in the back need to be dropped off to a book library. Garbage and recycling put in its place. Hat and mitts can stay in there since I like to have them handy when I am out and about. I parked in the garage yesterday so will clean it out in there since it is pretty windy and damp here today. Will do that before I go anywhere.

We were suppose to go to the Sarah McLachlan concert tonight ( and had a hotel booked etc) but she cancelled the tour Wednesday.
    Hoping it is rescheduled soon.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

I'm glad November has arrived. Not necessarily for Christmas prep, more for the crisp clean air that it brings. Our furnace is on ( ugh!! ). I just turned it down 3 degrees because I have the oven on atm. DH seems to be a shivering skeleton these days. Lack of sleep is the cause imho. This is why he bumps the heat up when I'm not looking. All's fair in love and thermostat games.

Two frugal things this morning. I needed gas and decided to do the Esso redeem 4,000 points get 1,000 back and get 10 cents off a L up to 40 L.
Paying with PC Optimum CC earned me more points. I did pump 40L saving $4.00, earned the 1,000 points for the redeem, 400 base points
and 970 PC Financial points. I prefer when everything shows up on the receipt instead of waiting a month or more.

Then it was around the block to WM. I went there for 2 reasons. They're open early which I appreciate and I had $40.00 in vouchers to pay with!
The final bill was $49.82 but I also had $5.00 available in WM rewards, so after all was done my OOP was only $4.82
Lots of produce was bought that I needed for some new recipes I'm making today which had me feeling that I used those vouchers wisely.

I will have to look into this PC Pts/Gas offer. Just filled up on Wednesday (I got the Journie card for when that is my only option/cheaper gas so I get points of some sort)

    @Frugalbigmama

This morning I had room to pump the 40L in so it worked out, oftentimes when a good deal comes along it's for 1 or 2 days only and always when I have a full tank. lol
This one is good from Oct. 31st - Nov 6th.

Thanks @lilo0003 for new month's thread!

Check dairy coupons for mid-month expiry dates. I found a $2 low sugar Mini Wheats cereal coupon good to the end of April 2025 at the Upper James Food Basics yesterday.
New runners purchased, a new smoke detector on sale acquired ( will wait for next Tuesday's Rona+ 10% off regular prices for 55+ customers to replace second smoke/co detector), and a few food items purchased. Bought nail care items to ensure next polish application looks better. Happened to notice my chai latte Kcups were on sale at Cdn Tire so bought one box. Glad I had bonus points offer for beverages activated.

Giant Tiger VIP seniors 60+ get 10% off next Monday on the named categories of the program. Otherwise the VIP members have a $10 off
$50 purchase on winter outerwear, footwear and accessories offer to use by Tuesday Nov.5. It has been months since the offer applied to $50 spend, as usually min $60 or $75 amount applies. Perhaps the chain has taken notice that customers are sensitive to prices.

Today, Triangle Rewards credit card holders can get 30x total CT money on almost anything in- store or online.

    Great deals walkonby !

Hubby and i both went for our covid and flu shot today ,yes 2 women talked hubby into the covid shot as he was on the fence .Could i talk him into it no but they did as they lost a 17 year old niece to covid in the U.S.A.

Plus they were giving out free mini bags at rexall due to they are opening a walk in clinic on site.I got a free bottle of water ,bag of small cranberries ,a small hand sanitizer and a tiny pkg of 5 bandages.Free is good!

Then we went to the dump to empty 4 bags of leaves and then to reuse the bags and dropped off some metal for free(which i didnt even know you could)til a neighbour told me .

    Then home to rest .

    Good Evening Everyone,
Today has not gone as planned, the plan was to be up at 5 to try to get in 4 hours of work before I needed to leave for an appointment, nope, I was exhausted and slept in. Good news was not a lot came in well we were at the appointment so I thought not an issue if I log on when we get home I can get caught up and won't have to work this weekend. Well best laid plans, the cable for the internet to our location with our servers was cut and we will down until approximately 8 pm well they repair the cable.

Appointment was for Mom to meet a different surgeon since one already denied to take her on as a patient, this one has agreed to take her on but she wants some time to process. So we will discuss over the weekend and figure out her next steps, ideally they would like her to lose 50 lbs but the good news the surgeon only has a 3 month waitlist so not the 6 to 8 months we were expecting.

I do have to say I really liked this surgeon, he was not pushy at all and felt like he wanted to support Mom instead of telling her all the things she doing wrong. Although two more doctors are now surprised she is as mobile as she is with how bad her hip is.

Luckily we got out early so were able to come home and make dinner but wanted to keep it simple as I am tired. Made Baked Sausage with Sweet Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts.

Just checked 7:30 and we are still down grrrr, guess who is working tomorrow now.

    Happy Friday Everyone

@Frugalbigmama , I hope Sara Mclachlen rebooks for you, I saw her at Fallsview last summer and she was amazing.
Yesterday we had the Shell offer for 100 AM for 100 l of gas and of course we did not need that much, but I still filled up to get 55 AM. Every but helps.
