    Good Afternoon Everyone,
I did some rage cleaning this morning.

I wanted to try out my steam cleaner, I am in love, I know want to steam clean my whole house but we did have one opps and it may have exploded all over the place. You have to wait for the pressure to come down to open it (they say 3 to 5 minutes, they lie, I let it sit 20 and it exploded on me), but you need to unscrew it a little let the remaining pressure off and then open it (I know now).

Originally I was just going to try it on one cabinet but it was so quick and easy I just couldn't stop and then just wanted to get it done. This normally takes me a few days (I normally do it in sections because it kills my back) I got done in 2 hours (the whole kitchen).

Next on my list if the Bathroom.

I was a little frustrated this morning because I just wanted a little help to be honest. Mom was disappointed we had to postpone Christmas because the house is a disaster and I know she is in so much pain (I told her not to help me with the freezer because just coming down the stairs I could see the basement stairs weren't an option) but I just feel like it is all on me and I had a moment. Now my kitchen cabinets are clean.

Just took a shower and now I have to figure out dinner. I really don't want to cook but also don't want to go out to get take-out and don't want to pay for take-out so will need to come up with a plan.

Will continue to work on my organization for next year and maybe put a movie on.

Hmm. A room by room organize . That I can definitely do.
I definitely need to do a bit of a get stuff out!
I've already started on my use it up pile.

One of my goals is a mini freezer/ pantry clean up. Mid Feb is usually when the bonus pc points offers week long thingy comes in. It's always good for a few pantry stocks .

And honestly, a good deep clean ... always good in the winter. The house is in decent shape. But, a room by room, will help with a fix/ repair/ paint touch up list.
Definitely going to start this week. I think the bathroom is a good start. And I can inventory bathroom/ shower needs.
I'm starting a .... low stock buy on sale list.

Bathrooms first.... then laundry / cleaning. ... laundry items tend to do a good sale Feb / March. It will be good to get that list ready as well.

I am having a rotisserie chicken we bought a couple weeks ago from costxo. I try to have 2 innthe freezer at all times.. easy to defrost . And cost effective.
I'm doing a simple roast veggies and baguettes ( case from. Costxo) with it.
I totally agree with not wanting to pay for take out.. so expensive

Our fridge is packed and needs a good clean out- Tomorrow! Will chop up all the veggies from Christmas dinner (tons of mini peppers!) for dinner tomorrow night which will be Chicken/shrimp stir-fry. Extra veggies will go in the freezer for a future meal. I am on a mission to shop less/plan and use up what we have with the focus on clean eating. We have dinner for tonight (chicken choy mein) from Friday night- Picked it up for everyone for last night but we had other stuff to eat so that is tonight's dinner.

Really looking forward to cleaning/organizing the house in January. Think my plan is to go room by room with my portable tables and empty everything out and toss/sell/donate what I can with the focus on less is more!

Yesterday I wanted to do a load of laundry but I also wanted to get a good walk in so I went to the laundromat! (and can use up the scented beads my sister gave me) I like drying and folding it all while there and then it is so easy to just put away when I get home (even though lots of my stuff I had to separate and hang to dry at home). Ended up running into someone I knew when I was in my late teens and he talked my head off so didn't get to look around the grocery store much (had just walked in and grabbed raspberries and melon) so had to wait in line to pay since my laundry would have been done by then!

Finally made it to Costco on Saturday morning. Returned the protein bars (cash back!) and bought bacon bits and 4 bath towels! Our white towels are being tossed in the garbage one by one (what was I thinking!!!) The towels are in a bin in the back of my SUV and I will wait till I sort the linen closet before I bring them in. Then DS will be given one and told to use it for the week! I got him blue- his fav colour!

I would love to hear more about your clean eating journey.!!!

We took our kids out sledding this afternoon. We all had fun. I’m hoping to take them again tomorrow before the weather turns cold again.

I stopped by No Frills to try to redeem my rain check for mandarin oranges, but they were still out of stock. I ended up spotting an display of cherries for $1.50/lb, so I bought $10 worth of those. I earned 6,000pts for finishing my offer of buying $40 in fresh produce this month.

I stopped by Shoppers Drug Mart in the same building to buy eggs. 2x $2.99 dozen + 5AM each when submitted to the Air Miles app.

I ended up making Balsamic Chicken with Mushroom over Mashed Potatoes with Broccoli on the side.

Does anyone else ever the side dishes are the hardest part to a meal? I need to find more side dish ideas.

The body mainly the back is not happy right now but might be my own fault, I did not wear shoes to do my cleaning today and now I think I am paying for it.

Whipped together some Peanut Butter Blondies well I made dinner and of course added some chocolate chips, peanut butter without chocolate, um nope.

Back to planning and trying to organize my life.

    Good Morning,
Original plan for today was to deep clean the Bathroom using my steamer but that is not happening. My back and hips are not happy, I woke up in the middle of night with them just aching and could not get comfortable to fall back asleep. So we are going to take it easy today, not saying I won't get any cleaning done but my back needs a rest day.

We are supposed to get a mix bag of weather today so will be a good day to just curl up on the couch. Right now it is raining but it is supposed to turn to snow and then to a wintery mix. Definitely a day to stay inside.

Need to figure out dinner for tonight, maybe homemade pizza or pasta, we will see. I have not written a meal plan yet, maybe I should tackle that today.

I did think about spending today in the Kitchen but not sure my hips would agree with all the standing, I really want to work on restocking the freezer but I also have not cleaned the chest freezer yet so maybe need to hold off.

I am starting to spin a little bit about going back to work. I know there will be chaos we have the move plus I will have at least 1 trainee in January and I think there are 3 positions posted I will need to train once we fill. That has me worried last year we eased into the chaos this year we are jumping in head first. I realized I used to see as an accomplishment to work a 10, 12, 14 hour day because we were always taught that we needed to be doing more but I need the find that balance so I am going to track it and see how January goes.

I am also trying to find other things for me to work on outside of work because I know one of my worst habit (is it a habit, not sure) is when I am just sitting here watching TV or if I am not doing something I will start working. I always feel like I need to be accomplishing something but when I want to just be on the couch my go to is work. I need to find things to keep my hand busy.

Maybe today will be a day of planning, we will see where the day takes me.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

Good Morning! I am glad to be working today- Quiet day anyway since so many people are off this week.
Very good opportunity to clean up my office and get things ready for the new year. I should also go to Staples and buy the toner for my printer (sent email to supply guy but he is away and probably till after the 1st) Whenever you can't print is when you have so much you need to print!

Enjoying my coffee and writing out my tackle list.

I need to go to my vehicle and grab the wrapping paper I bought so I can add it to the Christmas wrap bin and then I can put it away for the year!

Had a trip down memory lane last night about camping at the Grotto. Totally going there again this summer. Google it if you haven't heard of it. A must see for sure!!!

Well I better get this day going so I can finish it. Shower at one point and the gym. I need to start going everyday to get back at it. I just feel so much better when it is part of my routine.

    Have a wonderful day!

Ok, my mental exercise of the day....

    Ways to save 25.00 a month... 25 x12 = 300.00 a year....
And while 25.00 is not alot, it is also a shift in thinking from. Spending to saving....
Also if you do more then 1 thing... it could lead to a decent amount...

So, what are you doing, what can you do.. what do you want to do... to save 25.00 a month....

OH MY GOSH, they did it again my order was cancelled AGAIN!!!!!!!

Again they replaced the order for me, upgraded my shipping. Fingers-Crossed I get it this time.

I just want my stuff, I asked if this is being done because of Canada Post put a note on it, I will wait for shipping do not cancel, Please and Thank you because again all my items were still in stock. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I am thinking it is Canada Post because yesterday I went on to look at placing a new order for some items I noticed well I was cleaning some items have seen better days. Everything I looked at was sold out but now they are available again. So thinking maybe a bunch of orders were cancelled which is how I got my order replaced.

    ****FINGERS-CROSSED***** I get my order.

Think about things you do on a daily basis.

Do you buy a cup of coffee, soft drink, or piece of candy on a daily basis?
