talk about NOT wanting to go outside, that's me today. I went out at 7:30 a.m. just to pump gas ( out of necessity ) and then back home. Finally got up the courage to watch the movie Heretic. So creepy!

I have a long weekend this weekend. I had today off and I reeeeeeally took it off!
I did a 30min incline and speed interval run on the tread. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve run and while I was much slower than I used to be it felt good.
I did a small amount of laundry (still have some for tomorrow) and visited my mom as she’s been dealing with a wicked headache for a few days
.
I haven’t had a day where I literally did nothing cleaning or house duties and it was SO nice.
Tomorrow is another day and that means laundry and light cleaning.

15-20cm of snow was predicted, but only about 10cm fell. I want my snow!

Bought 2x boxes of 75-foot aluminium foil for $1.70 at RCSS
Walmart is apparently jumping on the 'blame tariffs' bandwagon. They raised the price of their 750mL choc milk from $1.47 to $1.52. Now, the final double-discounted price is $0.64; up from $0.64 The truly galling thing is that milk is 100% Canadian-made. The dairy boards have not initiated any increase. What are they going to do, somehow put the blame for the price increase on the cardboard carton?!
Found (appears new) utility folding knife in the parking lot. Alas, just a couple of weeks after I bought a new one to replace my broken knife. A backup is always nice.My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone,
Slept in this morning which has lead to me having no ambition. Sometimes I feel like my body is so odd, most people I know if they sleep in wake feeling refreshed and ready to go, I wake up with no ambition and wanting to sleep the day away. Oh well, not much I can do as I refuse to set an alarm on weekends.
I will also admit this grey overcast calling for rain day is not helping my ambition levels. I am feeling the weather in my face a little bit but it is definitely less which I am thankful for. I got weather headaches before but after I broke my nose they became could not work through headaches.
Tons of things I need to get done today and I need to get my butt in gear. I was going to do some stuff in the bathroom when I went upstairs but realized I forgot to take some of the stuff I needed upstairs with me, yep I feel like that is how my day is going to go. But we are going to push through and see what I can get done and not let this become my excuse.
I feel like I am in a really weird place where I want to get a ton of things done but at the same time I get nothing done. I do not know if it is just overwhelming me and I am shutting down or I truly have no ambition but no matter what, I need to kick my butt into gear as this house has gotten worse since I broke my nose.
Also need to make a meal plan, UGH!!!!!! I am struggling again this week and it isn't like we don't have options just again, nothing is jumping out at me. Why is food so hard sometimes????
Happy Saturday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I posted an update in the Canadian benefits and dates thread about the Canada Carbon Rebate-it is going out on April 15 (to Canadians who have e-filed their 2024 income tax returns by March 23?). There could be change likely impacting any future rebates.

Morning all,my daughter called last night she is back from her long holiday with Sebastian .She had him 13 days ,so today she had booked some girlfriend time with her friend at a spa in Whitby.
My ex son-in-law called and said he will drop in with Sebastian for a visit 1 hour before he will go to visit his dad for the weekend .
I have Sebastian's favourite chocolate bar on hand plus a dollar store toy .

All this talk of raking in the East-woke up to -10 and snow. Did not wake up till 8:20 and planned to meet a friend for coffee at 9 so delayed it by a few minutes. Somehow I was dreaming I might fail my math exam and have to take another course before I could graduate.
Does anyone else have dreams like that-I have not been to school for over 40 years-what the heck is that about. I am sure if somebody psychoanalyzed me they would say I had deep seated anxieties about something-lol.

@lizzie bargain I've been retired since 2013. Delivered mail for 36 years BUT I still have the odd dream that I'm out there walking my beat and
running late not able to finish my rounds in time! WTF? lol!!

Oh good-let's conclude from that we are both normal-or reasonably so-lol. Although those closest to us may beg to differ.

This morning I thought Mom was getting up so I decided to go upstairs and clean. Turns out she went back to bed but I was there so I continued with my plan.
I vacuumed out the Bathroom closet and put away the toilet paper and pads.
Then I cleaned off our top shelf, not sure why but I like to toss oddities up there, I guess I feel it out of the way. Once that was done I put away the kleenex and baby wipes.
Then I decided to tackle the vitamin/medical shelf, I knew there were some things on this shelf that at one point Mom was taking but she stopped so wanted to get those out. Turns out it wasn't as bad as I thought found 2 bottles of Turmeric (I think Dad and one bro take these so will offer those to them) and a bottle of some joint supplement, will also see if someone in the fam wants it. I took everything out and combined it with the stuff that was living in the hallway and put back in date order.
I did not clean the other two shelves as we use everything on them but did add some more body wash and dry shampoo that was in the hallway.
Then I vacuumed the Hallway and the Bathroom.
Does anyone else have issues getting rid of perfectly good products? I bought a 3 pack of cream, I swear I have used this cream before but I am not sure they changed their formula or my skin changed, but it doesn't seem to be working for me now. It is perfectly good and seems so wasteful to get rid of it but I have since found a cream I like better. I know I can donate it but I do not know why but my brain has such a hard time letting it go.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@lizzie bargain @walkonby count me in to the “normal or reasonably normal” group please. I have dreams once in a while I’m at my job that I had when I first was married 20 years ago or the worst are the back in high school ones
.
@SassyAshley I have troubles getting rid of perfectly good things too even if they don’t work for me anymore or are considered clutter to me. It has to be the smartcanuck in all of us. We hate to purchase things and spend $$$ for nothing.
@coupon girl glad you were able to visit with your grandson. I’m sure he was just as happy about it too.

So this morning I hit the gym for some tread work, and strength training. A bit rough but I did it.
I think I accomplished a fair bit today. The laundry is all done, bedding changed and washed, kitchen tidied, vacuumed and CC prepaid for my DHs cell phone buyout and the car insurance we're getting on Monday.
I do need to get a few things like soy milk and wraps but otherwise it’s another no shop week. At least not a real big shop. I really hope the flyer deals are better for what I need next week and PC offers are too because lately they are beyond awful.
Have a great night everyone
