Going to be a good but busy day.
But it is getting warmer, and the wind is not nasty, definitely going to get the kids out today and moving.
Grocery shopping tonight, need to do flyers / deals at quiet time.
Going to rearrange a bit on the dc rooms.
What I need to do is thin Down the rooms but that is not happening today.
I need to figure out the plan for the weekend . Going to be busy!

Cannot pass up a couple of Metro Moi offers. My guys do enjoy those Butterball frozen " football shaped " turkey roasts, 1 offer only per account to get it for $16.99.
Then 1 offer only per account of 300 points wys $20.00 on frozen or fresh seafood, which when it comes to any seafood, twenty bucks is pretty easy to spend.
Also my favourite Que Pasa Tortilla chips for $1.99, I think it's a 350 gr bag. ONLY allowed 1 bag at that price....grrr another reason I don't like the MOI programme.
Need to get gas too so that will be on the way.
Maybe not that frugal of a start to my day BUT it's all stuff we enjoy, that counts for something...ha ha

Good Morning! Short work day! (we close early the day before long weekend!)
Getting things done this morning so I am ready for any last minute rushes!
Coffee is good! Need to put away the clean dishes I washed yesterday and left drying on the counter
Will wash the few dirty dishes while I make breakfast.
Yesterday went for a drive to use free play offer (received an email in the morning for April 16th only! it was a good amount so worth the drive) and took it home in cash x 4 plus a bit more!!!! It was worth the drive! And topped up the gas tank- gas is .10C L cheaper then home.
Going to get some housework done today because hope to spend the weekend puttering outside!
Enjoy the long weekend and Happy Easter!Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Thu, Apr 17th, 2025 at 09:59 AM.

Good Morning Everyone,
I did not want to get up this morning but made myself get up 6 as I am trying my best to get back into my morning routine.
I started off my day with some work stuff and then I went into the branch as there was some confusion on something so decided easier to deal with in person.
I had to run some errands on the way home:
Stopped at the post office (was going to go yesterday but there was no parking)
Ran into the Pharmacy, went to grab an over the counter med I usually keep on hand only discovered someone took the last one and didn't let me know.
Then to No Frills to grab a few groceries and let me tell you the shelves were empty, I got most of what I needed but there are a few things they did not have. Luckily it is not stuff we need for the weekend so I will try to grab next week.
Then to get gas, UGH, don't get me wrong I am happy gas prices have come down but I missed hitting the $40 mark for my points.
Then to the other store in town to grab lettuce as my No Frills only carries the 2-pack which was $3.49 or the 3-pack was $3.99, well I was there I also grabbed Mom some Hot Cross buns, she has been asking for them and I found a pack of danish with a discount sticker for $3. I love Danish but they are so expensive, I now remember why I try to avoid shopping at this store, they have a great bakery but the prices, oh my.
Now to finish out my work day and get my kitchen in order, lost of stuff to be sorted and put away between Costco yesterday and local shopping today. Mostly just taking the stuff for upstairs up and the stuff for downstairs down.
Happy Thursday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

Was chatting with my RCSS service counter ladies and they told me that an act of arson was committed at one of their stores as a distraction to cover several large organized acts of theft. Evidently, 3 or more persons were filling their carts with things to steal, while another person started a fire in the Joe Fresh department to mask their escape. I asked if they were stealing expensive electronics, but was told that the particular store did not even have many electronic items.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I am going to vote today as I am working election day. I never did hear back from Elections Canada after applying online so I called them on Wed and they offered me training on Sat morning and then working election day. Perhaps I should have called earlier and worked the advance polls too. It seems my info had disappeared into a black hope so I had to fill in again and re-submit. Anyway I think all in and including overtime I should earn around $400-some nice pocket change.
