Not to mention on more than one occasion I have pointed out to someone in produce that the produce is bad and leaking and I have gotten everything from a shoulder shrug to, well that is all we have.

I will say for a bit it did get better but seems to have gone back down so now I avoid it and price match elsewhere when I can.

Also, I am not that impressed with their prices, I find that they are usually higher than other grocery stores or to make it comparable you have to factor in the points. For example other stores will put it on sale for $1.99 but Freshco puts it on for $2.46 plus 50 scene points which would make it $1.99 but I am paying higher out of pocket for a return later.

As well as I have mentioned I do not like their price matching policy, you won't price match a store 5 minutes from you because they are considered "high-end."

I can't say I never shop there but I do not go often. Usually I only go if there is a scene price special on pantry goods.
@SassyAshley I am also not one to shop for produce at FreshCo I find that the quality is not that great .

I am unexpectedly back in Ontario for a few weeks. Barely a week after we made it to NS we had a call that DHs brother was likely at the end, he has been ill for sometime but it was felt he had 6 months left. Thankfully we made it back in time.
I will use this chance to do more yard work here and hopefully we are back in time to plant the gardens.
@lilo0003 so sorry to hear about your DH brother (((HUGS))))

Out running in all the pine (I think) fluff today. Keep sucking it in. [At least I hope I'm sucking fluff and not insects!] It's just that time of year. Oh, well. The sun is out, so I'll suck a little fluff/insects. I seem to suck at least one critter / day.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Thinking today is going to be a whole lot of nothing. I did not sleep well last night, I could not fall asleep. But as always we will see where the days takes me.

I did our produce prep yesterday and ended up making waffles for my breakfast so we now have those in the fridge for Breakfasts this week.

I do think I might make some Blueberry Muffins, I got a craving yesterday. I also wanted to make Peanut Butter Oat bars but not sure if that is too much.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

    Good rainy holiday Monday .

Our family bbq was canceled yesterday due to scheduling issues with my brother ( long story short) but since I’d been making food as did my mom, Dh and I went so it was the 4 of us. BBQ burgers, potato and mac salads, pickled onions and a delicious lemon blueberry loaf with glaze that I made. Yum! I also made homemade pup treats in fire hydrant shapes for my favourite nephew .

Walks in the afternoon sun to visit Dave ( my squirrel). Dave must have been having family and friends over for the long weekend because Kevin was there and he brought a newbie, Tony .

Today is super chill with Dh and a small stop at NF for his creamer, bananas, and wraps. Perfect things to do on a rainy holiday Monday.

Hope everyone has a great day off and hopefully sunny

    Good Morning Everyone,
No muffins were made yesterday because I got into a "mood" and decided Sh*t needed to leave my house.

So instead I grabbed a garbage bag and got a little frustrated LOL. Sometimes it is hard living with someone who is extremely crafty because sometimes what I see garbage "has a purpose" so I have to be careful what goes in the garbage bag. Been there done that where I thought something was garbage only to find out it was being turned into something.

I decided to clean my work basket which has been driving me crazy because it has been overflowing because I am switching notebooks and everything was not fitting. So I cleaned that up, plus some of crochet stuff and then I decided to deep clean the couch.

I was going to tackle some of my other crochet stuff but I got side tracked doing some online shopping. Was looking at options for a new living room light, ours is past its prime, as well as a grocery wagon, I have been talking about getting one since I broke my nose.

Dinner last night was Baked Tacos with Cheater Mexican Corn. Originally I have planned Enchiladas but Mom said that sound like too much work which I said I would make them but she said she wanted to make the sauce but it was too much work so I pivoted.

Tonight's dinner is a mystery but thinking maybe Balsamic Chicken and Mushrooms as I have some older Mushrooms to use up.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

Awhile ago, I had to buy a lot of eyedrops for my mother. I found that there were periodic flyer sales, with pretty decent savings. I think that the brand was Systane. If you need a long-term supply, it might be to your advantage to stock-up during one of those offers. I did.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Not a lot outside of work got done yesterday, not sure what was up but oh my gosh I got so tired mid afternoon and it took everything in me just to finish out my work day.

Dinner ended up being Butter Chicken (which I add Mushrooms to) over Rice. Tonight's dinner is a mystery, I have a late afternoon meeting so I will have to see what time it ends.

Thinking I should go out and run some errands today, I was going to go yesterday on my lunch but I was working on something and it wasn't something I could stop in the middle of. Plus I had an afternoon meeting that got cancelled when I logged in.

I was going to quickly scan the flyers before I started work this morning but guess who slept in. Will have to look at them later.

Oh my gosh, where did May go? I am happy for Spring to be here but I do not feel like it is May 21st. I am so far behind, I haven't even set up May's budget tracker but the good news is I know, I am under budget on everything but our fixed expenses and it is May 21st so more than likely we are coming in under budget this month.

Not going to lie, I panicked a little when I went to Costco. It is funny because when I looked at my cart I thought I spent so much more than I had so I was happy but also worried I spent too much as I thought a second trip would be needed this month. Then I remember it was May 14th so all was good.

I am just kind of a mess when it comes to dates right now LOL.

    Happy Wednesday Everyone.
