Had an offer with CTire - spend $25 in-store and buy 25 litres of gas and get $25 CTire money. Needed cat food and gas so that worked out perfectly for me.
Only 4 kids came by so lots of leftovers. Been really busy with my newest foster family - momma and 5 kittens. Everybody was in rough shape so glad I could help. Too many people are dumping cats, especially pregnant ones outside. Whatever happened to responsible pet ownership?? BTW if anyone is looking to de-stress, I highly recommend fostering, its such a joy to see little kittens running to you when you enter a room. Stress just disappears. Same with puppy fostering, big need for that as well.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Oops posted in October:
Good Morning,
As I shared yesterday we did not hand out candy but to be honest, our living room is in the front of our house and I did not hear any noise outside, so not sure if many kids even came through.
This morning has been a bit of a slow start, got up, had some tea, took a shower and am having something to eat. I was going to clean the bathroom but decided I should eat first or before I knew it I would skip breakfast. I do not know what it has been this week but almost everyday I have had to remind myself to have breakfast.
I kind of feel like right now, now that they have announced they gave my position to someone else, I am trying to find my new normal. Since the announcement went out I have had a lot of questions about what this means for me and honestly, I do not know and am just taking it day by day. My plan for yesterday was to try to come up with some project I could work on, mainly to try to excite myself about this change instead of dreading it but it turned into a busy day and I didn't get it done.
I also want to make sure during this time I take care of me. I know my easy go to, is to throw myself into something so I don't think about it but like I said this week I have had to remind myself to eat and I see my water intake has gone down (that might be the cooler weather), but I just want to make sure I take care of me during this time.
I need to work on a meal plan and prep list for this week, I started a prep list last night but I am struggling with Dinner ideas, I am back into that "dinner again" mindset. But I am also seeing I just keep rotating the same meals so need to bring in some variety this week. I tried going on Pinterest this morning but the recipes weren't jumping out at me and I found myself looking at Crochet patterns instead.

Good Morning Everyone,
I got some of the things done yesterday, which is better than how most weekends go.
The bathroom was scrubbed down except for the floor, because how do you clean the bathroom and not get the floor wet? I cannot, I always drip or something and then I cannot swiffer the floor.
Then I just did some general tidying up, I know it needs to be done but I always feel like I need to do more because there is not that big thing to check off the to-do list.
I should be prepping right now but I am feeling so indecisive and cannot decide what to make.
I did not get the best night of sleep last night and now I am feeling very meh.
I am going to have high hopes for this cup tea and hope it brings me some ambition.

Got another Petro Points personal offer of earn 3,600 points wyb 120 Litres of fuel before November 26th. that is pretty easy to do.
Pumped the first 40 this morning. Then went to the ATM to deposit a cheque, Metro is right there so I picked up my Moi personal offer
for a cracker
I SHOULD NOT EAT.... but they are so damn good! My fav. type is the cranberry and pumpkin ones.

I'm stunned the new " regular price ' is $5.49 at Metro, my offer was for $2.99. When I do have a few of these it will be near Christmas,
spread with herbed cream cheese! If the weight loss continues for me, these are going to be enjoyed as a real treat!

I know we all know it but it never fails everytime I go into a grocery store I see something and think "that is the price now, WOW."
Even sometimes something I just bought not that long ago all of a sudden seems to jump a few dollars.
I was just saying to Mom again the other day, I do not know how people just go to the store and buy what they need. I watch grocery hauls and people will says "oh $80, not bad but when you look they got nothing." But I guess overtime it does become the norm and people don't think about it.
You can see how so many people are struggling now, everything is so expensive.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

We have to utilize our points the best we can and stock up on items that are cheaper with points or cpns in general .
Lilo,i am loving this airmiles scan your reciept get airmiles .I have boosted my airmiles a lot using this .
I also love buying gifts ahead mind you it is getting harder for Ashlyn age 12 but i did find 2 halloween bracelets yesterday on a reduced rack $5.20 reg 18 at shoppers so i will put that in with her xmas gift .
I cant wait til i can shop a few stores ,i can only do one then home as my knee can only go so far .I guess i thought at 8 weeks i would have been further along ,but it is still major surgery i had .

Was picking up some trash on my daily walk and found a loonie in the grass. I'll consider it Mother Nature's Tip for services rendered.

@coupongirl if you buy gas at Shell watch for the monthly opt in offer. I don’t get it every month but it’s 4 fill ups and get 80 bonus miles. I just do 30 litres at a time to take advantage because Canadian Tire/Petro Can have also been sending some rocking offers so I can’t be buying gas in one place😂. @WALK onbuy those crackers are delish with cream cheese. Sadly it was not one of my offers.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Just a note here. I have made my own pumpkin cranberry crackers and they turn out near exactly the same as those high priced ones.
A twice baked operation similar to Biscotti. Here is the recipe in case anyone feels adventurous.

Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday did not go as planned, but I am not mad about it.
I am not sure why, but I could not wrap my head around prepping. I was indecisive and just struggling with the process. I decided to just do produce prep, I had some Green Onions, Celery and Grapes to be washed and put away. Well I was doing that I decided to make myself some fruit for the week, I made myself two containers with Grapes, Apples and a Clementine that I can snack on.
I needed to clean out the fridge, we did not have a lot to go but I knew there was some leftover salad in there and something else I cannot think of now. I don't know why, but I decided to empty the fridge and wipe it down and reorganize it.
I also finished taking the AC units out of the windows, I did the one in the Dining Room last week but still needed to do the bedrooms, took care of that yesterday.
I think my goal for November will be to get the house back on track, almost everything needs a deep clean so I do that come December I should be able to get back into my weekly reset without it taking hours. This weekend I got the bathroom done and scrubbed down the fridge and I will just keep taking it one task at a time.
I was a little hard on myself this weekend but it hit me, I need to look at this like I am recovering, I did not hurt myself but normally when I get knocked down like this I will get sick. *knock on wood* I have not gotten sick but normally I would blame getting sick for not jumping right back in. But I need to look at the same way and realize I won't all of a sudden walk up and be 100% and it will take time to get back to my normal.
I could really use a vacation but I was looking at my schedule and just cannot pull it off. I am booked for the next two weeks and then I think my boss is off.
It is Monday, time to get all the things done.

Morning! Dark Rainy start to the day. Very windy. Wind warning. Thankful we have the recycling carts today...It use to be such a mess on a windy recycling day!
Saturday- Went for a drive for breakfast and use free slot play. Ended up grabbing a coffee and muffin at Mcdonald's on the way so had lunch at the casino. Turned free play into cash! Into the travel fund it went! Topped up the gas tank. ($25.00) (10 cents L cheaper then home!)
Sunday was a long tiring day. Fell asleep early. Woke at 2am this morning and did my Wordle and then went back to sleep. Feel pretty good now.
Fridge is clean and leftovers gone. Have a few dishes in the sink to wash. Will make a plan for dinner. Thinking simple protein/veggie/mini potatoes. Probably BLSL chicken breasts since they are individually wrapped in the freezer so will be easy to thaw out.
I have a pedicure appt. on Sunday but going to call today and see if I can go one day this week. And add a few more services and make a night of it. I want an appt. free weekend before travel. (I had booked the appt. 6 months ago after the trip was booked)
Haven't started packing yet...so unlike me! I can't believe we are in November so quickly! It was freezing on my walk yesterday morning. I had a toque on (more so for my messy hair) but should have wore gloves! It was so cold down by the water... Time to put extra hat and mitts in my car!
Have a wonderful day!
