@cath007 , thank you.
Now that they have taken away all of the creative aspects of my job I love, I have had to find new outlets. Right now it is instagram videos but hoping to maybe get back to Youtube at some point.
I need to find creative things I can do but also things I can do for me so I don't just work when I am bored during the cold winter months.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Evening Everyone,
UGH, the snow is here, I mean I knew it was coming but I was living in denial. I have already shoveled the stairs once and I should have cleaned off the car but that didn't happen.
My prep day did not go as planned but I made it work.
I went to try another english muffin this morning and the smell, they do have a touch of a burnt smell. I could not handle it so I had to come up with plan b. Originally I was going to make a skillet pancake with whipped maple greek yogurt but changed my mind and went with my tried and true Baked Apple Oatmeal.
I forgot to make a load of No-Knead Bread so instead I made a quick small batch French Loaf to go with the soup I was planning to make.
One pack of ground beef has been cooked plain, another pack turned into taco meat and the last we broke down into 1/2 lb packages and threw in the freezer.
Cucumber and Broccoli have been prepped for the week. I also Chopped the Veggies to make a double batch of Broccoli Cheddar Soup.
Originally I did not get the soup made but we had a late lunch so opted to make the soup for dinner with the leftovers in the fridge for lunches this week.
I wanted to get so much more done but it was what it was, I got something done which is better than nothing.
Also got the fridge cleaned out, had some old fried rice that did not get eaten and that was it. Before I could take the garbage out I shoveled the stairs. Ran into a small snag, I could not find any of the winter stuff (hats, gloves, scarves), turned out I put them in the basement with the plans to wash them before winter, opps. Also found my missing hoodie.
Kitchen is clean, I am done and tomorrow is another day.
Happy Sunday Everyone.Last edited by SassyAshley; Sun, Nov 9th, 2025 at 07:50 PM.

Awoke to find a Skip bag of McDonalds food at my door. It had 2x Big Mac, 20x nuggets, Lg Fries, and a drink. So, I got to eat like a hobbit and enjoyed 2nd breakfast, Elevenses, lunch, and 2nd Lunch.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Redeemed some of my RBC reward points for $75.00 in Petro can GC's.
@coupon girl you're correct, feels good to get gas for free, especially when
they're at discount redemption prices! ( I saved 2,625 points this time around )

Hubby got the snowblower out this morning we got a dumping off the lake i guess .I went out to help clean off the car ,hubby told me not to shovel cause if i fall down i could ruin my new knee.
Well just brought a hair dye up ,reduced to 4.04 on walmarts clearance ,a lot of the developer cream in the bottle is missing .So i will just do my roots with it and be done .Some times it just doesnt work out the clearance stuff.lol

Good Morning Everyone,
UGH, it is still snowing. I am trying to have a better relationship with snow but honestly watching it come down gives me anxiety. Now that it is snowing I just want to curl up on the couch under a blanket and never leave my house. I really do wish snow did not bother me like it does but it truly gives me anxiety.
Woke up in the middle of the night again last night, couldn't fall back asleep and just as I dd they came to plow so that woke me up. I ended up sleeping in which is not how I wanted to start my day.
I also woke up to no internet, they said there was no outage in my area but magically around 8:30 it came back on. Step-Mom messages they also have no internet but a plow went off the road onto their lawn and ripped up the wires so now she is waiting for them to come and look at the damage.
I have ou regular laundry going now. I went to throw in the new bath mats but it says to wash without fabric softener so I will have to put them in with the microfibre cloths.
There are a few other house things I would like to get done if I can get my work knocked out.

Happy Monday! The snow started here this morning- surprisingly we did not get it on the weekend. My sister that lives 45 mins away sent me a pic of their snow covered yard when I asked if they got snow. Hopefully it it their turn this year!
DS is on the road for 6 hours to his job site for the week. I will be watching the clock till I hear they are there safe and sound.
Roast beef dinner leftovers for the next 2 days....which means no cooking so that is a good thing.
Will do a load of laundry later tonight....then hang it to dry. I just want the hoody I am wearing now for travel day.
Totally packed! Utilized the packing cubes and everything is very well organized. Just have to make lunch for the airplane (turkey with aged cheese on a croissant/Greek yogurt/fresh raspberries/sliced cucumbers) Will make it Wednesday night since pick up is 3am Thursday morning! Doubt I will be able to sleep but will try turning everything off by 9pm. Just need to pick up a few croissants tomorrow afternoon while my winter tires are being put on.
Looking forward to some fresh air later this afternoon and shovel the driveway

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Not sure if it is the weather or what but oh my gosh have I hit a wall and am I ready for a nap.
Laundry is done just need to fold the last load. Towels are folded and put away. I also did the microfibre cloths with the bath mats since I don't use fabric softener on the microfibre cloths. The bath mats are hanging in the basement and the microfibre cloths are in the dryer.
The mat in the bathroom needed to washed so I did a quick wipe down of the bathroom and swiffered the floor because I could not put a clean mat on a dirty floor. The bathroom is clean and so is the floor.
I needed a break around 3, so I went out to shovel our stairs, there was more snow than I expected since I did shovel them yesterday. I also swept off the cars, I did not defrost them just brushed the snow off. This will be my goal this winter is to try to stay more on top of the snow so it doesn't pile up on me. Or I could just hibernate (joking, kind of), I will try to stay on top of it.
It wouldn't be bad outside if it weren't for the wind. The snow is light so it kept blowing it back in my face.
Now it is time to figure out dinner. But first I need to test one thing in the system.Last edited by SassyAshley; Mon, Nov 10th, 2025 at 04:24 PM.

Got a 7-pound honeydew from FreshCo for $3.50
Cleaned up some abandoned bum bedding and clothes and was rewarded with a $0.50 tip from Mother Nature.

Threw my last pandemic-era brisket roast into the oven to cook overnight at 250F
Fell asleep to the aroma of delicious brisket wafting into my bedroom.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I was in the plant today doing some training. It was supposed to be a 2-day train but got it done in 1 day so now I get an "extra" work from home day this week.
I ran into the pharmacy on the way home to grab some over the counter meds, I always keep them on hand but I was down to one so went to grab more. Think I need to take some.
Also stopped for gas, so nothing too exciting. But I did ge bonus points for spending $10 or more.
I could not think of anything for dinner but Butter Chicken popped into my head so that is what we are having.
I am not sure why but once I got home tonight I was done, might be because I was up at 4 am this morning. I do not know what why but they kept slamming the plow this morning and it woke me up. I think we are supposed to get more snow tonight so we will see if they are back tomorrow at 4 am.
Slowly working on getting a few things done, I closed out October budget and was again was surprised I thought I spent more in one category but as always I compared my receipts to my transactions and I have them all. Not much done around the house today but there is always tomorrow.
The snow has melted off the stairs and Mom's car but we will see how much we get tonight.
