^^^ I admire the amount of things you did get done Sassy. We're all so critical of ourselves thinking we didn't get all of something done.
I say celebrate the things checked off the list and kick back! Maybe run upstairs and make funny footprint marks on the rug! ha ha
Our day was productive, in that my blood work was done by 8:15, DH hygienist appt. done by 9:45, DH initial assessment physio appt. done
by 11:30 so we took ourselves out for breakfast at a favourite restaurant!
I celebrate being able to swap out the home fries for an amazingly fresh medley of steamed broccoli, green beans and carrots.
My pea-meal/eggs platter was more than enough., plus the coffee was very good, nice and hot! A fresh pot was made for sure.

Twin girl is invited to a birthday party sleepover in early December. We gathered birthday gifts from my collection that the 10yr old girl will like. It cost me $10 total for 1 set of colourful sharpies, one funky bouncy ball, 1 large bottle of scented water slime, a big bag of skittles, a small Minecraft Lego kit, a science experiment kit, gift bag and tissue paper. Full price this would have cost close to $40. Twin girl will make her a birthday card to go with it.

Good Morning Everyone,
UGH, my sleep is all over the place, Sunday night I woke up at 1 am and thought it was morning, I was wide awake, I did fall back asleep but then when my alarm went off I felt horrible. Last night I did sleep al night but maybe I just need more sleep, I feel so groggy today.
I placed one Black Friday yesterday, needed some new undergarments and they were buy 3 get 4 free.
I got the laundry done, the couch blankets washed and the couch vacuumed. Also clean out the fridge and took out the garbage. I think I did well for a work day, not going to lie I wanted more but it was a work day.
When I was done work some comments were made about the new printer not being set up, so I did that after work.
Took a little longer than I expected so dinner was Chicken Chunks, Oven Fries and a Cucumber Caesar Salad. Need a better plan for tonight.
Still working on the budget, I finally set up November and have about 70% of it filled out. I have spent a little more than I remembered on stuff for the house but I am still under budget. Most were small things, the new grater, the 1/2 cup soup cubes, new serving spoons and the bath mats. I have a lot of carry over in this category as we went a few months not buying anything for the house.
Oh and I need to add up my donations and drop those off.
Goal for December is keep up with it weekly. I have added a budget update and a pantry tidy to my weekly cleaning routine.
Happy Tuesday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good morning frugalees! The saddest thing happened and we have no idea how. The interior fridge light has been special ordered last week, we have
to wait for the email that says " ready for pickup " . It's so weird opening the fridge and it's dark in there. on Sunday DH went to open the 3 head bag
of romaine we bought last week and to his disappointment the entire thing was a ROCK. Frozen solid.
He said the dial at the front of the fridge had been turned all the way to the right!! None of us would have intentionally done that so we assumed that
it was accidentally bumped that way when one of us were jostling items in and out that sit on the top shelf. We had to toss the entire bag of romaine.
Then this morning when I pulled out my beautiful clam shell of tender baby spinach......same thing! At least it was sort of hit and miss inside the container,
not all the leaves had been frozen but they were all different shades of green. I never saw any slimy looking leaves so that was good. The container had not
even been opened yet. I HATE wasting food, so I put a small amount of water into my deep wok to boil, dumped the entire contents in there ( stems and all )
and the pile wilted down right away. Very soon it became cooked spinach that actually looked great! I strained it and squeezed the liquid out thoroughly,
chopped it all up, dressed it with butter and salt, placed a poached egg on top, then added a cup of the roasted butternut squash DH cooked up yesterday next
to it.
THAT was breakfast...ha ha I sure ate my fill of IRON today!

Good Day! Back home and back to reality!
Just made breakfast/brunch. 2 eggs/1 rye toast/hashbrown. Breakfast the last 12 days was Scrambled eggs and a bowl of fruit.
Pickings were slim but also good to save me from myself! (if there was a tray of donuts I would have been all over them since I was "on vacation")
Cleaned the kitchen and gave the fridge a good clean out. It is empty! I even messaged DS asking if he needed to get food and he said he was fine
We have the staples but I'm sure he will welcome fresh fruit/bread/etc.
Wanting to make a nice dinner so will figure it out once I go out shopping later today and see what I come up with.
Unpacked but laundry will be done tomorrow.
Looking forward to looking over the new upcoming sale flyers. Any deals you plan on getting?
Have a great afternoon!

Update on my dad health:
2 weeks ago my dad had an appointement with his familly doctor in another city.
So for being slow and the doctor taught it was maybe neurological problem with his brain the scan came of negative.
He is just slow motion.
That is the only good news
The other results of the scan of the leg ...Well the results where not sended to his leg surgeon doctor.
But yesterday he had an appointement with his leg surgeon .She just came 1 time per month in our city otherwhise she is located where my dad will have is surgery.
So the results are.The leg is more blocked and worse than before.
We dont talk about a small surgery to just put a rod and no anesthesia and just me a minor procedure. Now we talk about open and cut the leg with anesthesia and put something a spring in the leg.
Not a day minor surgery anymore.
He will be 2-3 days post surgery in the hospital.
1 month recovering at home.
He will have to meet in another city the anesthesis to discuss the procedure.
But...the procedure is not before march...
I am so mad
Because the grieving of doctor in QC ,no personnal,no nurse...no operation room they are now limited.
So if no decline it will be in march
For is neurological shaking hand a demand to a neurologist have been send.
So yeah...I am tired of the all the delays
When my father dont walks he is not in pain.
But what a nightmare when he walks.....
So doing the grocery is so difficult for the 2 of us.
I hope you where able to understand and read this post.
I am losing hope.
AND THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE IS HE STILL SMOKING AND REFUSE TO QUIT.....THAT IS NONE SENSE
Thank you for reading me.Last edited by cath007; Wed, Nov 26th, 2025 at 09:47 AM.

@cath007 , **HUGS** It is so hard to watch those that are close to us be in pain and there is nothing we can do.
When your Dad goes out does he use anything to help him walk?
I only ask as we got Mom a walker, mainly for her to sit on if we are out as she cannot just stand. But she was surprised how much easier to made walking, she was using a cane before but the walker has really helped with pain when she walks.
Yes, dealing with the medical system can be very hard, I can only speak from going through things with Mom and constantly being pushed from one clinic to another.
