@Sass eyashley I would say Moi works when it’s something you need but overall it’s a mediocre program. You only earn a small base amount of points at Metro and then it’s for weekly offers at both Metro and Food Basics. It’s worked for me because Metro is my closest grocery store when in Ontario so it’s easy to take advantage of the offers. I also like the produce at FB so I am likely to make a trip when they have good produce prices. I feel like at this moment it’s Air Miles that’s winning. They have sent me some good bonus offers so they seem the easier way to earn points.
If anyone has Scene they have an opt in offer for reduced gift cards this weekend. Of course after I just redeemed for GC.

@Frugalbigmama , Even though I stick to a list I try to only shop once a week because it does add up so quickly. $10 here, $15 there.

Although I find it interesting that with groceries I try to just shop once a week but with Costco I find trying to only go once a month costs me more so I now try to go more often.

Snow held off, we did get a few squalls but then the sun would come out and it would melt.

Mom's tires are on, they were a little backed up, I ended up being there about an hour but I took my laptop and downloaded my reports and knocked out 2 reports well I waited.

On the way home I stopped at the post office, happy I did because my shipment that showed it was coming purolator was there. Also Mom was waiting for something and even got an we are sorry your shipment is delayed email we are looking into it but it was also at the post office but at least we knew that one was coming Canada Post.

I could not think of anything to have for Dinner literally the only thing I thought of was Pierogi Bake so that is what we had.

Not much got done around the house today because I had to run out twice and then just as I was finishing my work day my boss called so a few other things I need to tackle but we agreed next week. Hoping my focus tomorrow can be these year end reports so I can get them out on Monday because other people need to go through them and send them back so I can then complete them. I do have one other project that is making my head hurt, maybe I will find clarity in the morning.

Happy Friday! Snow day here for the school kids!

My niece has a gym meet today so they went last night and stayed in a hotel in Burlington. Glad they did that and had a stress free morning compared to what they would have been driving in this morning. I totally would have went with them if I didn't just return home from vacation this week and the weather was clear! Very appreciative this morning not having to go anywhere!

Dinner last night was really good. We have lots of chicken left and a bit of cooked peppers/onions. Hopefully someone will eat it tonight for a late night snack.
Tonight's dinner- Steak with onions/mushrooms, baked/smashed potatoes, chopped salad, green beans. (I will pull the steaks from the freezer this morning)

My friend asked me to go out to dinner this weekend so hopefully that is tomorrow night! I hope we go to the Beach Grillhouse we like- they have an amazing Kale Ceasar Salad that I am craving!!

Enjoying my coffee and planning my day. Think I will bundle up and go for a walk around the block and see how much snow we got! I am going to start making this part of my work morning- I need to take breaks from sitting- Sometimes I don't move till after noon and that is not good.

Have a wonderful day and stay warm!

    Good Morning Everyone,
I worked late last night to try to get something done and off my plate so I did not have to think about it today. Nope was 90% done the first page when I realized they did not send me all the info. Got the info this morning and even found an easier way to do it, sometimes all you need is a clear head. Finally just got it done but it is done.

We did get snow last night, need to go and shovel, I am going to try to stay on top of it this year (UGH, I hate shovelling) but don't want to let it pile up like last year. I was going to go shovel but then realize I had been so focused on work, I had not eaten so decided I better eat first.

Hoping to come up with a better plan for the upcoming week for food. This week I did not prep and it hasn't been bad but mostly eating bagels for breakfast. Thinking maybe a baked oatmeal for next week.

Thinking we need something warm and comforting for dinner tonight, maybe I will put a pot of stew on the stove, we will see, we have had beef a few times already this week so maybe something Chicken would be better.

Not sure if much will get done around the house or if the day will be busy keeping up with the snow. I know this is not right but I think half my hate for snow is it is just another things on the check lists of things I need to get done. One day, I will be on top of it all but today is not that day.

    Happy Friday Everyone.

DS just popped home to grab the gas can to fill it for the snowblower (I asked him to do this weeks ago and told him to take with him this morning) He is off work now for the day so at least the driveway will be done. I was going to try and not go out and shovel but I may have the longer I looked at it!
Which is great since I am expecting a courier delivery for work and didn't want them to have to trudge through the snow to the door.

Now he can clean the basement I will encourage him and help sort the piles of laundry he needs to get at!

Ok, this might sound extra but I am seriously considering an electric shovel.

With parking in a parking lot a lot of times people push snow towards our cars especially since I don't leave everyday sometimes I don't shovel to later and it piles up. So thinking this will help because digging out two cars is not fun.

I do not think it would work on our stairs but even if I could just use it around the cars and in front of the cars I think it would be worth it.

I am not looking for a high end model just something basic to give me a little bit of help.

Could we consider this a gift for my mental health? Maybe knowing I would have help shovelling would help me hate snow a little less? Pushing it?

I see a few other things in my email, I might have to do some black friday shopping, most of it will be for the house.

A good idea! I know someone that had a heart attack from shoveling snow (and passed away ).... A healthy guy. I think about that every time I shovel snow and try not to over do it.

I borrowed one my BIL had years ago and it worked for the most part but not with heavy/icy snow so you need to keep up on the area you are using it on and not let it freeze.

Grabbed DS as soon as he finished the driveway.

His dirty laundry is sorted and the 1st load in the washer.

All his dirty dishes and garbage is in the kitchen...dishes soaking in sink (darn home made mac and cheese is sticky!) garbage in the bag I have on the go.

I will hang up his laundry to dry once it is done. Will work on the other 2 loads starting tomorrow (one will go in the dryer (towels) the other hang to dry so need to wait a day so I have free hangers/rack)

sorry that you two got the white stuff Frugal and Sassy, I was totally prepared to see it but NONE fell here last night??
The wind however is crazy! Some of my Christmas fence decorations are blowing around and will need attention with
small zip ties or twist ties.
Maybe tomorrow as it's just too windy and chilly to do it today.

Frugalbigmama i sorted a laundry basket of my daughter's and Sebastian's socks last weekend .The ones that didnt have a mate went into the garbage .Uggg it took me almost an hour ,time she doesnt have .

Today i ordered from Neob lavender they had a great sale on i ordered a pain set for me and 2 gifts for daughter-in -law and daughter. Then got a free bar shampoo of candy cane for spending over$ 60.Their bar shampoo is above par ,love it .So merry xmas to me plus i had a 10% code for giving a review a few months ago.

I did a small amount of Black Friday shopping today and since I traveled with nothing I can easily take it home. We also need to make sure our summer clothes go back to Ontario as we are thinking of a last minute cruise in February.
We have had some snow and hail today and I am hoping for a nice weekend as we have plans both days.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I have no ambition today, my body wants to do nothing but I also know I will feel so much better if I just get it done.

I never got out to shovel a second time yesterday. When I was originally going to go out it became super windy and then when the wind died down my boss called and by the time I was off the phone with him it was dark. I should go shovel now but I do not know why but they did not shovel the walkways, they just plowed.

I was looking at Electric Shovels and I think we need one, I know everyone's opinion will different but there are so many on sale for around $150 right now for Black Friday. To me that seems reasonable and I think it will be a game changer for me, although it does still feel a little bit extra.

Also looking at new vacuums, our falls over because the cord is too heavy (which is why I want to go cordless) so now I just leave the cord laying on the floor. But also the canister that holds the dirt, a little plastic piece is broken so the fine dirt falls out so I am constantly emptying it. I found one I like and it is around $100 which I think is good, I don't need anything special, we do not have any carpet.

Also really want a new bed frame, mine has been falling apart for years but I keep telling myself as long as it holds my mattress up it is fine, but I found one online I love and it is on sale. Only thing holding me back is how do I get rid of the old one because it is big and won't fit in my car to take it to the dump.

We are still thinking about but I feel like this is adulting at its best. Black Friday we are looking at Vacuums, Electric Shovels and a Bed Frame.

I really need to find ambition, I know I will be happy to get things done but it is just getting started. Oh hang on I think I hear a snow blower maybe they are back to finish cleaning up the snow so I can go out and shovel, not that I want too but I believe there is no more snow today but more overnight and all day tomorrow so lots move shovelling to come.

Okay forcing myself to get up and do something and we will see where the day takes us.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.
