JUST checked my AM account and they already gave me the 40 AM for the 3 x $30.00 fill ups I did, so the next one I do will earn me another 40 AM! I just may miss Shell switching to Scene rewards as I'll have nowhere else to earn AM.
The other thing I always appreciated about Shell is they deposit the AM in your account on the same day you pump the gas,
even though it never shows on the gas receipt. Sure beats waiting up to 2 months as some offers go.

Day of Karma.

I had my weekly order of chicken wings and one of the staff surprised me by paying for my tea. What a nice fellow. He's my regular bartender, but wasn't working tonight.

I left and was feeling pretty good about the world. I saw a truck pulled over on the side of the road. It looked as if it had a flat tire. So, I tried to return the good vibes to the universe. I asked the lady if she needed help. She had no idea how to change it and was having problems reaching family to help. So, I tried to help. I've done tire changes for other distressed damsels, before.

I tried to get the spare off the truck, but couldn't figure out how to get it detached from its under-side well. I'm no mechanical engineer, but didn't think it should be so hard to accomplish such a simple task. I crawled under the truck into the snow and slush and could not detach it. Had to tell her to call for professional help. What a mess.

The universe returned the good vibes, almost immediately. I walked into RCSS and the deli ladies stopped me to tell me that they had a chub of Piri-Piri chicken marked down to $10/kg ($4.27/lb). What goes round does come round.

Addendum: the problem perplexed me so much that I called it up on YouTube and found that there was no way I would have figured it out on my own

Good Morning Everyone,
Nothing like remembering you forgot to run an inventory balance last night after we closed to get me out of bed this morning before anyone could log in. I was in and had it run before 6 am, which is when the first wave of staff start logging in.

Woke up to snow this morning, a co-worker said there is a lot, I have not been outside yet but will head out a little later to shovel.

Yesterday on my lunch I ran to No Frills and got Onions, Sweet Potatoes, Cantaloupe, Apples, Grapes, Fries, and then Mom asked for Granny Smith Apples so I grabbed 3 and a bag of BBQ Chips, and the dill pickles was right there so grabbed those. Also grabbed a box of Ah Caramel, they are the hit of the month and wanted to see if we still like them and as I expected, we find them extremely sweet, no idea how I used to eat a 2-pack.

Then because the snow was coming and the roads were good after work I started Mom's car, it did start but was a little hesitant which I did not like but it started.

Off to Bulk Barn I went but then I remembered I forgot to Price Match bread at No Frills so decided to fun to Food Basics first, I grabbed 2 x Rye with a Hint of Sourdough and 1 x Rye. I also grabbed Kiwi and Blackberries.

Then to Bulk Barn where I got my Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and Mom wanted a fun drink, they were out of apple cider so I got her French Vanilla Cappuccino.

Mom reminded me she needed Rolaids and since I was just down the road from Walmart off I went, at Wal-Mart I got a large pack of Cherry Tomatoes marked down to $3.48, Rolaids, and A White Cheddar and Movie Theater Popcorn.

It was nice to not just drive aimlessly when driving Mom's car but I also need to not go in stores because I spend money. Everything I got was on sale (mostly) but some of those things we would have gone without because I would have said it was not worth the drive but having to drive Mom's car, I needed to take it for a drive. I need to find different reason to leave the house.

Good Morning!

We received a lot of snow overnight as well. Sounds like the early commute was a mess and the commute home will be worse.

I didn't leave the house yesterday and looks like today will be the same plan.

Kempenfest 2026 just posted the band line up for the weekend (we already knew of one we were going for ) So now we have a plan.
VIP tickets go on sale at 10am Friday so my sister will order for the group.
We usually go Saturday morning. Check out the vendors. Have lunch. Watch the band at 2:30 (has always been people we know) Then we go back to my sister's (to bring niece back) and relax before going back for the 8pm show. It is a fun weekend! I haven't been for 2 years because had a girls weekend planned 2 years ago without realizing it was that same weekend and last year we didn't like any of the shows.
Summer calendar is starting to fill up!

Busy work day but I am feeling good about it! I prepped a bit yesterday before I finished for the day.

Think dinner will be simple tonight- I have the tray of steaks in the fridge. Add a veggie. A few potatoes. Ceasar Salad. Done! A crowd pleaser!

Today i dropped off cara's tablet at my son's and then went to freshco .Groceries seem to be going up and up.I managed to use 20.00 in scene points and 4 .00 in coupons .Only found 1 coupon .50 helava dipp.

An unplanned frugal day here. Went to WM right at 7 a.m. ( think I woke up the staff! lol )
Returned an unopened box ( small appliance ) that I had ordered online ( first by logging into airmilesshops ),
because I wanted to earn the 8 x the AM that WM was offering.
Sadly, shortly after I ordered it I discovered dreadful reviews of the product.
I tried in vain to shop it from shipping. Could not. I received a full refund at the CS counter.
Ran home before I could even consider spending any new money in the store...ha ha

Good Morning Everyone,
I do not know if it is the weather or what but oh my gosh, the last 2 days have been a bit of a struggle. I woke up with a headache yesterday, it eased as the day went on (great, or so I thought) but after I got home, it go so bad I took something. I went to bed with it still there and figured I would sleep it off, nope woke up with it even worse this morning. I have taken something and hope it eases off.

I was in the plant yesterday morning, than I had to swing over to head office to grab some stuff out of Dad's office and the person who took over training asked for my help so I ended up spending most of the day there.

After work I ran to Costco to get Eggs and Mushrooms, well I was there I also grabbed
a pack of their new Cinnamon Buns (this pretty much summed up my day, some people want a glass of wine, Cinnamon Rolls are my weakness)
Bacon (discovered when I cleaned out my freezer I am down to 1 half pack, we only cook half a pack at a time for the 2 of us and I am craving bacon)
Vanilla Yogurt (I bought a lot of produce that can go in Yogurt and we only have plain)

Then for my deals:
A marked down Rotisserie Chicken (I talked myself out of grabbing a Chicken for Dinner, telling myself I had chicken at home but then when I saw 20 mark down chicken, oh yeah, one was coming home with me and we had half for dinner last night).
Dove Body Scrub 3-pack (these are Christmas so they were marked down to $9.97, when I got home I saw in the Walmart Flyer the cumbl cookie ones are $10.86 a jar, I got 3 for $9.97, although I do not know if because the ones at Walmart because they are cumbl cookies collab if they cost more).

We are supposed to get snow tomorrow so thinking on my lunch I will run out and grab a few things, I see raspberries and mangos are on sale so will grab those. As well I have a couple points offers I can stack so will probably grab those for the pantry.

Good morning. What a busy 2 weeks. Like always it’s not slowing down either. I’m headed to work shortly so another no spend day and actually it’s been an extra $$$ kinda few days since I now implemented my rate increase. Just a few clients left to get their notices. Gotta love more $$$$ in your pocket.

I went to walmart this morning to get tropical dirt for my 2 plants decided to look at clearance got a few items under the brag section i posted.
Also got axe deodorant 4.98-1.50 checkout51=3.48

I then went to shoppers to get milk (it went up in price 6.44 for 3 bags unreal)i paid 5.15 after seniors
got reduced maynard 2.50 for 2 bags
hard candy carmaby .80 it was 75% off

then home .i am a bit tired.

Good Evening Everyone,
Had one of those well that wasn't worth it moments today.

Going to be honest, I really did not want to go shopping today and really we did not need anything but I did want to give Mom's car a drive because I do not plan to leave my house this weekend. So I decided I would go Zher's as it is about 15 minutes away and they shockingly had a few good sales this week.

I get there and they had no raspberries only the heart shaped containers that are $7.99 (no thank you) and all of the mangers were mushy and wrinkly. At this point I wasn't walking to the bakery to see if they had bagels instead I left.

Off to No Frills I went, I was able to price match the Raspberries, Mangos and Bagels. Well I was at No Frills I also some Spices, I had a points offer that would stack and some jam as I had a points offer and I am loving Toast with Butter and Jam and Mandarins.

I will be honest I rarely use Digital Coupons, do you have to re save them each week? I save an offer for spices early this week but it did not apply and I see it now showing as unselected. Did I need to resave it today even though I believe they are good for a few more weeks?

I guess the good news is Mom's car got a drive and now I don't plan to leave my house all weekend.

Salvaged 18x Aero choc bars, 10x sandwiches, 5x 60g bags of Pringles, and 2x loaves of bread from my friendly Shell station. Sadly, much of it was destined for my 87-yr old neighbour. Police called me about a wellness check on him. I came home to learn that they found him dead. Looks like natural causes. Another (closer proximity) neighbour had asked for a wellness check earlier, but it was possibly missed. He might have been dead as long as a week, or so.
