Good Evening Everyone,
I am kind of proud of myself. I am someone who needs to accomplish something in a day but little things also qualify like going grocery shopping which is another reason I try to do out shopping during the week. Usually if I go on a weekend I shop, I come home, put everything away and I am done.
Today I forced myself to keep going because things needed to get done.
I went and cleaned the bathroom, I scrubbed her down but didn't deep clean, one day I will get it deep cleaned but today was not that day. I just cleaned it last weekend and I only ever clean it once a week unless something happens but it seemed super dusty today.
I tidied up the Kitchen (we really need to clean out our pantry it is full but I feel like there is so much in there we do not use so the stuff we do use lives in the basement or on the counters). Put away the rest of groceries, cleaned up the cardboard.
Then I headed back upstairs to tackle the hallway, the whole time I was cleaning it the song "it's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me," kept going through my head. I buy things I dump them in the hallways instead of putting them away so I sorted everything and put it all away. Mom was up by this point and helped by unpackaging things and breaking down boxes. Everything is now away, is it perfect no, it is done yes.
I did not empty the closest and deep clean it, nor did I deep clean the hallway but hey right now we just need to get things done.
I took out the bag of garbage from the hallway.
Then it was lunch time and after lunch I was done for today. I had hoped to tackle a few more things but it just didn't happen.
Dinner tonight was plan b, I was going to make beef and broccoli but my broccoli I just bought went bad so instead we pulled Homemade Burger from the Freezer and made Oven Fries Poutine. Oh and before I started cleaning I made a crustless strawberry pie to use up some old Strawberries I had in the fridge.
Now it is time t work on a meal plan, I have been slacking lately and I am feeling it so need to come up with some sort of a plan for this week.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Started out as a pretty mundane day. Then I found a packet of Bear Paws cookies, that made a nice snack.
Then salvaged 2x pizza subs from a different Shell station and found a can of peaches, abandoned by a bum on the street.Last edited by HermanH; Sun, Apr 12th, 2026 at 01:31 PM.

Good Morning Everyone,
No meal plan yet, it just wasn't happening last night. We will try again today.
But for now, I am defrosting our chest freezer. I noticed a buildup right at the edge last night, which means one thing: time to defrost. Although I am already regretting that choice because all I have done is put everything in cooler bags and put the bins of hot water in the freezer and my back already hates me. But I know I will be happy once it is done.
I also need to clean out the kitchen freezer but we will see if the back holds up.
My house is overflowing with recycling, it is so hard to get our recycling out since we switched to the new system. They say we will get more bins but that likely won't happen until June or July. I am not saying it is right but I understand why some of my neighbours are just putting it in the garbage, there is no where to store it well we wait for the next pick up. But, I will keep trying, I will check the bins when I take the garbage out to see if there just happens to be any room that I can sneak a few things in.
Ok, my chest freezer is calling.

Good Evening Everyone,
My back is officially mad at me but we knocked a few more things out.
I finished the Chest Freezer, took a little longer than I expected, the ice did not want to melt at the top. There was not any waste, everything I took out went back in but by simply reorganizing it I have made some more room. There are some odds and ends I want to muse up but that is a task for another day, mainly because I have some fresh stuff stuff to use up first.
One day I would like to check out the Costco Business Centre as I have heard they carry different frozen vegetables. The main one I am looking for is Green Beans. I would also like to check out their spice selection.
Well I was in the basement I decided to wash the couch blankets and switch back. I had been using an actual lap blanket instead of my normal Queen size comforter which was nice except this blanket shed so if I sat down on the couch before going to work I looked like I had fur all over me. I bagged that up with the extra sheet off my bed.
Since I was washing the couch blankets, I vacuumed the couch and since I had the vacuum out I vacuumed and mopped the main floor. Still need to do upstairs but that is a task for another day. But I did do the stairs so I could vacuum the bottom when I did the front hallway.
Dinner tonight was Creamy Garlic Chicken and Gnocchi with Broccoli.
I still need to work on a meal plan, still struggling with this but had a couple more ideas come to me.
I did not get any prep done, food has become meh again.
Still need to sort laundry which I will tackle tomorrow since it is a work from home day.Last edited by SassyAshley; Sun, Apr 12th, 2026 at 07:40 PM.

Good Morning Everyone,
Another rainy day here, but it looks like this is going to be this whole week. I think Friday is the next day with no rain.
I have our regular laundry going.
I pulled some spinach from the freezer and am planning to make Ricotta and Spinach Stuffed Shells for dinner with the Kale Sale kit I bought on the weekend. The extra shells will be frozen for a quick dinner another night.
I could have used an extra day this weekend, but with my schedule right now there really isn't a Monday or Friday I can book off to make a long weekend. Hoping nothing too crazy will come my way today so maybe I can stay on top of things, maybe.

yes, Happy Monday and now Tuesday too, I feel fabulous!!
.....NOT! Unless fabulous means still having only 50% hearing in my left ear.
Had another Dr. appt. on Monday to ask why the last round of oral antibiotics ( 5 days ) along with the remainder of the ear drops prescribed have changed nothing.
After looking inside the ear the GP still has no clue, I've been waiting to see an ENT ( referral in place but no call from them yet ).
Until then he's now prescribed me a different antibiotic ear drops (has a fungal component? ) to use for 10 MORE days.
I know these are first world problems....I just felt like whining.

Good Morning Everyone,
Raining again but is supposed to stop for a bit this afternoon so I might try to sneak out to store for a few things I did not pick up on the weekend.
It was originally going to rain until Friday now they have extended it to Sunday.
Well I was making my breakfast I marinated some Chicken Tenders for tonight, I am going to make Yogurt Curry Chicken with Rice Pilaf and some sort of Veggie.
Last night I did make the Spinach & Ricotta Shells with the Kale Salad. I am trying when it comes to dinners but it is hard food is meh, but honestly, I think it has more to do with my mood and just a lot going on.
Yesterday I had a rough afternoon, I got super frustrated. A lot of suggestions are being made for we should but really it means me. Which I understand when others cannot do the things I can do or they are unable to do things, but I don't know I just had a day where I just really felt like I needed some help and there wasn't any just more pressure.
But on the flip side yesterday well I was doing laundry I was able to make a path to one of the shelving units in the basement and clear off two shelves which I can use to sort things that need to leave myself into sell or donate.
Also on the good news, I got an email that spring maintenance has started on our cars so now I just need to wait my turn. I have not changed my driving habits if anything I drove less this winter due to the weather so it seems odd that I am getting messages about my oil life. Hoping it is nothing and once they do the oil change the message clears. Then to take care of Mom's car.
Time to get back to all the things.

Had a wonderful night away with my sister. Spent some time in the hot tub and pool this morning (did laps for 15 mins) We ended the getaway at Costco for 1.5 hrs! I only spent $45! (Greek yogurt/1/2 case protein drink/Body pillow) I still haven't renewed our membership so my sister paid and I just sent her the $$. Still cheaper then renewing

Ordered a round of steak and eggs/home fries at breakfast to bring home for dinner for us
( I gave up my eggs and home fries- I just want the steak to go with my dinner
Just popped out to RCSS to see if I could pick up more chicken thighs- sold out. Found a 10 lb bag of sweet potatoes for $8 and SCOP a water flavour package.
Have a great night!

It’s totally ok for you to whine @walkonby , you deserve it. You’ve been through a lot.
I'm sorry you have to deal with tendinitis and your knee. August can’t come soon enough.
