@cath007 so sorry that you are in that position especially when the cost of living is so high. Hoping your relatives and Dad can help you out. Not sure what help is available to you through social services in Quebec.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you, yes she is the cuties and the sweetest but we might bias.

I am trying to talk myself into getting up and getting things done but it is not working.

We did discuss post ponding our go live again (would have been the second push back) but yesterday after meeting with our programmer I decided we got this and will make the current date of the 15th work. So I should probably be working but that also is not happening right now.

Yesterday I had to run out to grab Mom's prescription so I decided to grab groceries, I am trying to switch things up a little so I got:
    2 x Mini Potatoes, 1 x Rice Paper, 1 x Wonton Wrappers, 2 x Blueberries
I really want to try making Rice Paper Spring Rolls and in general we just need more dinner options.

Mom's prescription because a whole thing turn out the request didn't go to our doc due to a system error they were having but no one checked so they resent it but our doc was off but they were able to give her a month's worth. But I did have to go back a second time to get them.

Ok, I need to find some sort of ambition today.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

I popped over to walmart this morning to get strawberries 3.44 and some more reduced fruit .I also need more tanks so found a looser tank for 10.00 size large ,it fit perfect .Not much left in summer clothing .

On the reduced rack got 3 kit kat bars 2.39,bandaids 4.02 and sensodyne 3.25.

Then home to do a load of laundry and just relax after watching the girls yesterday .

I was so fed up with the site I decided to take a break from trying to get in. It was days of issues but for the moment it seems ok.
I am not sure how many of you use the shell app but I just happened to notice an offer of 750 bonus points for a gas purchase. Like Air Miles it was an opt in but unlike AM there was no email about it. I hope that changes because it’s a pain to check constantly. I am not sure if this was from my Scene Visa but whatever it was I was able to take advantage of it. I prefer the app because then I don’t have to tap 3 cards for the discount.
i was wildly excited to find the black diamond coupon just in time for a sale. My store has taken to putting them in totally random spots. I found it in the bread aisle. I also found a few others I will be able to use.

@lilo0003 I too was pissed to see a 2 day only offer from Shell, I think it was a Flash offer.
I opted in, but DH is my chauffeur so unless he took me over to a Shell Station that day it
    was pointless.
    I do have the offer of 600 Scene points wyf 2 times ( 30 L minimum ) , expires July 2.

Good Morning! From bed the sun was shining and it looked like an amazing day! Once I got up and got ready to go out it was gray and looked like it was about to rain! The app does not show rain so instead of kayaking (that was the plan!) made coffee and went down to the lake for a walk.
Then the bank and a few stores to pick up a few things on the way home.

Have chicken thawing in the sink for dinner. The plan is to BBQ!

Our Giant Tiger is having a customer appreciation sale...I noticed a few deals they posted yesterday so I popped in quick last night.
    .44 English cucs
$2.00 3 pk of peppers (I think it was 3pk I didn't need so I didn't pay too much attention)
    $1.99 tub of grapes
$2.50 24pk ramen (like Mr Noodle)
    and some other items.

I just grabbed the ramen and a few cucumbers. They have so many cucs and peppers....They may have to mark them lower to get rid of them. I will watch for the peppers because that may be a good idea for me to prep for the freezer for stir-fry/fajitas etc.

So many things I want to get done but not sure where to start agghhh!

    Good Morning Everyone,
I went down a serious rabbit hole yesterday and it was not pretty. Needless to say the house is still a disaster, no work got down and worst part, I still do not have a resolve to my rabbit hole.

When I went to install our AC unit on the main floor when I was looking at it, I thought something looked funny but I blew it off as being tired (it was almost 8 pm on a work night so my day is pretty done at this point). But, when we used it this week we noticed it was sounding airy, yep the inner pipe detached.

After some quick google searching it sounded like I could fix the issue so I tried. I should have known better that when something sounds that simple it never is and sure enough. Everything popped off and came undone like it should until I got to remove the old pipe, it is either glued or something it was coming off, and the pipe just kept ripping more and more.

I still had hope off to the hardware store I got for some HVAC tape, brought it home and went hmmm how do I bunch up all this bad hose. I had Mom look at it and we decided to try cutting it off as at this point it could not get worse. I could not cut it, the wire in it I cannot cut.

So we decided it is time for a new AC unit, they do only last 5 to 10 years and this is 6 years old and runs a lot.

Originally I was going to Costco and buy a new one but then I thought about it, they will load it for me, but how am I getting it out of my car and more so, how will I get it up my stairs. Okay we need delivery but no one can deliver before the heatwave.

Next became where the rabbit hole happened. Do I buy the Costco one which is a knock off of the one we already own or do I go for one that may be simpler to install. Well I learned the Costco version does not come with the adapter to install vertically but Mom says we can install horizontally and cover the rest of the window but that will be more work, do I want more work. Or do I just go with a standard AC unit knowing the install will be easier.

At 5 pm last night guess who went to Costco to look at the unit in person. I did not buy it as I cannot even move it so the getting it up the stairs is out. It will work but do I want the harder install. This is the question I am still asking myself. UGH, I am so bad at these decisions.

With that being said I did get a few good deals at Costco, Mushrooms, Asparagus and Dill Pickle Salad kits were on sale so I bought all of those. Plus I got one of their bake at home Pizzas I swear last time I look at them they were $18.99, it was only $9.97, we had it for dinner wasn't bad but homemade is better.

Now today as much as I want to go back down the AC rabbit hole, I need to get things done but there is a lot to get done.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

So lovely that this weekend actually felt like a weekend for a change. Anxious to get the day going, I went into the kitchen to make
a large batch of white sauce. In a separate pan I sauteed cut up chunks of chx breast, tossing in fried onions, mushrooms, garlic
and celery leaves. I blended the sauce together with the chx/veg mixture adding baby peas at the end. This will get scooped into those
Vol Au Vent pastry shells for dinner tonight.

With more energy left I descaled my Keurig machine, cooked up 7 hard boiled eggs, did a much needed wipe down inside the fridge
, tied up the full small food bin bag and walked it outside to the larger bin. Washed all the pots/pans/bowls +utensils from cooking, dishrack is full
but I always let them air dry. No dishwasher keeps me accountable to clean as I go.
No one was up yet so I stopped looking for chores...lol. Time to sit and rest a bit. Now here it is past noon and I never even brewed a mug of coffee yet? @SassyAshley wow, I sure hear you on that A/C dilemma. All the best with whatever model you get, maybe have it installed ( if financially feasible ) to save your back.

Thanks @walkonby I got an offer a few minutes ago in the Shell app for 1000 scene with the fuel up of 25 litres of V-power . Ends June 13 . Will let my DD take advantage of this since that’s what fuel is used. She does 1 hr one way driving to get to work when she has to go to the office
