Good Evening Everyone,
Another fun filed week.
I ended up pushing back our go-live since we "broke" the system on Monday so we had to pause testing/training. It has been fixed now so the plan is now next Monday. But I have spent most of the week in production going over things and getting ready.
I ended up going with the AC unit from Amazon because it would be an easier install but almost lost it. Originally it said Tuesday delivery then jumped to Wednesday, then after Mom ordered it it said Thursday. Tuesday I asked Mom to check it was still coming Thursday so I could be home since they were calling for rain and it had been bumped out to Monday so obviously I thought I made the wrong decision. But to my surprise, it was on the front porch when I got home on Wednesday.
We let it climatize for 24 hours in the house and after work tonight I set it up. At first I was still worried as it did not seem to be cooling as quickly but now it is nice in here again. As well we could not get the remote to work so Mom threw out "well, I guess we only use the Air Conditioner when you are home," comments like this is why I always worry I am making the wrong choice. But after moving the old unit the remote does work.
Not much in the flyers for us this week, but I did have to run into work to look at two computers so on the way home I mailed a birthday card for Mom.
Went to Giant Tiger, turns out none of the stores in our area got the strawberries and they aren't expecting them before the sales ends, so I left with nothing.
Then off to No Frills were I mostly got product, I grabbed Bananas, Blackberries, Raspberries, Mandarins, Tomatoes on the Vine, Limes, Pears, Sour Cream, Almond Milk and Crackers. Everything was on sales expect for the bananas but I did have a points offer for the Bananas.
Then off to the Hardware store to return the tape we did not use to try to repair the old AC unit.
So ready for the weekend to be here but I may need to work to prep for go-live but we will see. I am really hoping it cools down like they are saying because there is a lot of stuff I need to haul out of my house. I am a little overstimulated right now but all of the stuff in this house and feel like every time I turn around there is something in my way. So hopefully this weekend I can haul most of it out.
Happy Thursday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Friday morning to everyone.
It feels like ages since I’ve been on here. Life is busy I guess.
So we’ve had a NOT so frugal yet STILL frugal few weeks. All the purchases were kinda frugal since items were either on sale, received bonuses and all were planned in advance for and 100% needed.
Purchased a new mattress and saved 30% and saved the delivery and recycle and removal fee saved $266 (it’s a local business that we purchased all our furniture from a few years back so we got a deal* also my bro and SIL and parents also purchased items from them too).
I bought a new pair of New Balance runners. Saved 10% sine I’ve purchased several before (
)
On Monday after a frustrating dental appointment (new girl tried to get a night guard imprint and had no idea what she was doing and ended up taking 4!!!! and it made me feel so yucky that stuff) so Dh took me to get my Le Creuset pan that I’ve been eyeing for almost a year. We ended up getting 15% off by signing up for the stores mailing list. Omg I love her sooooo much. Definitely an investment but a lifelong purchase.
Today is an unplanned day off. I did a big job yesterday and the construction dust made me feel yucky so I had to reschedule today’s client. Today will be restwith a sprinkling of laundry and vacuuming. Oh ya and garden tidying up.
Have a fantastic day everyone.

I arrived home at 4:45 am this morning. Decided to pack up at the hotel at 3am and head home then instead of later this morning. So glad I did!!!
Very tired but I will get through the day! My mission is just to get through the work day and then tonight will be Netflix and snooze I am sure lol
Then I will be up an at it early tomorrow morning. Hoping the weather app tells me good things
Have a wonderful day!

Wow! First of all @SassyAshley I am so impressed that you installed an A/C , despite the back and forth with the
order/delivery issues. The humidity was off the charts for the last 2 days so I know you and your Mom welcomed
that cool air in the house.
@harbie you know I HAD to look under images for that Le Creuset pan when you declared your love for " her " lol.
There are so many types and they sure do look like quality cookware, a wise investment.
I'm kind of bummed. When DH pulled in from work I had him drive us over to the Shell for a 2nd attempt to pump
30L ( of regular ) into the tank. GRRR! It's clear I'll never get this stupid Scene card offer for 600 Scene points on
2 x 30L fill ups. Of all things, the bloody electronic payment system was down. The attendant said " just use your
APP at the pump " GRRRR! again, buddy! I have NO APP, no phone.
DH was not a happy camper. Offer ends July 1st. We had to get gas at Petro Can down the road.

I just popped out downtown to the bank and No Frills. Tomorrow is not the day to go downtown in our town unless you want to be with over 20,000 people!
Then I stopped at Foodland for my Sugar free Jello pudding that is on for $1! What a deal. I bought 12 and I am buying at least 8 more...maybe more. Too many? maybe but I am a girl and need chocolate and when made with 0 Sugar Oat milk it hits the spot and is very low calorie.
We have a Foodland in our next town where I will go to walk tomorrow morning so I will hit them to grab a few more.
I am tired! This girl is too old to be up most of the night!

@Frugalbigmama I love it when a keen shopper finds a loophole and scores a big prize!
This guy hit it big with chocolate pudding, so you can never have too many. ha ha

Good Morning Everyone,
I was in Head Office and the Plant yesterday for a tour and then I stayed in the plant to help them prepare to run parallel next week in our old system and new system.
On the way home, I stopped at Freshco for some snacks they had some offers that stacked so I got: 1 x Movie Theater Butter Popcorn, 2 x White Cheddar Popcorn and 2 x Pop corners. Well I was there I also grabbed a pack of Blueberry bagels, a bag of Grapes and a pack of Whole Wheat Tortillas. Everything I grabbed was on sales and I got points for the snacks.
Last night's dinner was Enchilada Bake with Cheater Mexican Corn.
Tonight is a mystery so far.
Today I need to make my house workable again. With the AC unit coming there is stuff everywhere. Stuff from the dining room is in the kitchen, the dining room is full packaging and garbage but I just haven't had a chance to deal with it yet with work. I still have no idea how I am going to get rid of the old AC unit, I had someone tell me I shouldn't have ordered the new one until the old one was gone. UM H*LL NOPE, I was not going without AC. The 2 days we already had were more than enough. I will figure it out.
The original plan was to get up this morning and trying to get as much cleaning done as I could before the heat rolled in. That did not happen I did get one load of recycling and garbage out. But I still have at least one if not two more trips to take. We will see where the day takes me because I am just very tired today and I want to devote tomorrow to prep.

You'll peck away at the house stuff @SassyAshley , it'll all get done eventually.
My energy level was on high this morning. Still not driving so some days it feels
like the walls of the house are closing in on me.
When that happens I bake, cook and create things in the kitchen......my justification
is always that I'm trying to make sure I use up the fresh veg and fruits, rotate stock,
consciously use frozen meat to make a meal instead of buying more when shopping.
Enjoy the weekend all!

Love this! Smart Guy!
Remember the chocolate bar deal at SDM years ago? I can't remember the exact deal but I know I had probably over 100 family size chocolate bars.
We had a party with our friends around Valentines and made a ton of chocolate covered strawberries for the event (I remember my friends daughter really really loved them lol)
Also- the Mint use to ship $ for free and at the height of cash back cards you could order the $ and get the points and just deposit the money to pay the card. Rinse and repeat!

Slow start for me this morning...didn't crawl out of bed till after 10am.
I may have bought 10 more packages of the jello pudding
Of course it sounds like I am the only one that likes it but that is ok!!
Been out and about and now at home doing the things. Made homemade ceasar dressing for dinner. Have a load of DS's laundry in the washer.
I pretty much went to bed hungry last night because I was so tired and I didn't have it in me to cook anything healthy....I told the others to have fish and fries if wanted. I think they went to bed hungry too lol
Off to prep dinner (make burger patties) clean out the fridge, cut up a pineapple and melon. Then I may go hang out in the garage with the men...
Hope the weekend is going well for all!

@Frugalbigmama , wonder if it was something about last night. At 10 to 8 I announced it was bed time, by 8:30 I was tucked into bed and asleep by 9 pm.
@walkonby , hoping things get back to normal for you soon.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Rescued a bag with 6x heads of Romaine lettuce, from the dump.
Found a delivery bag of food outside of T&T. It had 2x chicken sandwiches and 2x orders of fries. I can't believe that someone paid $35 for 2 sliders and fries! Someone must have just forgotten it during loading. It made for a nice lunch and supper.
Stopped at NoFrills on the way home and was sad to find that they finally discontinued their 4-pound ground turkey for $10. Now, there are only 3x pounds in the package. So, a whopping instantaneous 25% increase in price.
