I've starting collecting items for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. With back to school sales already starting, I was happy to be able to purchase this at Walmart:

My friend in BC was happy to share free produce from her large organic garden. I brought home garlic, onions, broccoli, cabbage, celery, butternut squash, tomatoes, plums, grapes, peaches, cilantro, apples, zucchini, cucumbers, red peppers, green beans, kale and raspberries. Wow what a feast. They live with extended family and in addition they have 9 freezers full plus dehydrated and canned food. I know where I am headed in case of an emergency!!

@lizzie bargain dare we call them Preppers? I admire that kind of dedication to food security. It requires so much work but the rewards are worth it.

I guess maybe we could-they have 5 adults and one preteen on their compound-but the food would last them awhile. I said they could skip growing for a year or two and eat down the freezers.

Kelloggs Cereals are on sale at $3,50 and are giving back 2500 pc points per 2 boxes.
I purchased 4x Frosted Flakes Multigrains less in sugar

so 5000 pc points.
Printed 4 x $2 coupons in colors ( kelloggs website)
And the pc have a digital coupon of $1,50 limit of 4
The digitals coupons did not enter but I put a missing points inquiry.
UPDATE: I got my 6000 pc points in the evening.

Froots Loops Cereal 50% less sugar where cleared out but I will return when restocked.
It will be an oop of 25 cents after the points and $2 coupons.
Not bad.

Surprise ,surprise
The Froots Loops 50% less in sugar cereal deal did not happen.
I am very suspecting the shelve was cleared in the morning the first day of the sale deal as August 06.
And that they never get shipment after.
2 times I called and they assure me they will be getting some and no ....shipping problem.
Now the next shipment if not again delayed will enter August 13 and the sale will be finish.
And no they cannot put points in a raincheck (why???)
So I ended up not getting 5000 pc points and paying $3,50 minus $2,00 coupon=$1,50 x4 at IGA.
BB is : JULY 21,2027
I am not ok with that.
As strange as it could sound I checked they received the all the others varieties of Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops ,just not the ones with coupons to go with it where not there .... double frustrating grrr!!!
I have to walks each time to get there.
I am pissed with my Maxi delayed or no shipments problems...it is not the first time it happens.
I am sure next week those same boxes will be $6,00!!!
I am on a very tight budget so every cents and dollars counts and are important for me.

My local Food Basics is discontinuing the Cavendish Farms Quick Crisp Crinkle Chips 540g bags. They had 6 bags, with a best before date of January 2028, priced at $2.14 each. I used $2.00 coupons and got them for 14 cents each!

$5 Flash food produce box. 4 oranges 1 apple 5 limes 8 garlic bulbs 4 large tomatoes 1 large container of cherry tomatoes 1 cucumber a bunch of mini potatoes 2 onions!

Dinner tonight is simmering on the stove (used the tomatoes and garlic to make tomato sauce)

yesterday on the way back from dinner DH inquired if we needed gas? We were at just under 1/2 tank so why not top it up to start his work week.
As we approach the PetroCan station near our house we see so many cars all waiting to pump. Then we see the reason why on the overhead sign.
Regular gas was listed at $153.0 per L. !! All the other stations were around $1.70 or higher. Extra savings for us scanning my .05 off fuel savings
card and paying with my 3 cents off RBC Visa. Small wins!
