Another thing you could do when you send a trade, ask a friend with a different post code if you can put their address on your enevlope as the return address.

They can also use your birthday which shows on the birthdays list here
They should have a password in place

If trading SDM points it may be a good idea to keep 2 cards. Not sure if this will make sense but...
Card 1 - uses your regular trading address - used only for trading.
Card 2 - sent to a separate address - unknown postal code. Use this card to transfer your traded points from card 1.
This way, if someone does try to take your points - they would only be able to get a few of the points from your trading card and would not have full access to the full balance of your points - which is on your second card.Want to be like Redmouse? * Join me here at SC * Tell them Redmouse sent you!!

That makes perfect sense and is a great idea RedMouse.
It will take a while to set up a second card but very helpful for the future

I have thought of it before, but I never have worried about it, as I am a very trustful individual. Also, Every time you go to the store, if you have done a transfer, either received or given points, it shows on your receipt. If you had a transfer done that you didn't authorize, you could call SDM and find out who it went to, and I'm sure that something could be done. But I do think that a password is a good idea!

A bank card has a password. So you are protected.
I am sure they will change this and just put in place a password system.
I am still not too worried as it would be easy to tract who's account the points went into and where they were spent. As long as you keep on top of your card until this changes you shouldn't have to worry.

But then again, I don't ever have many shoppers points, i only trade coupons for sdm points to be able to trade them back for coupons I want.......so there would never be a big loss for me....
