I once tested cookies and another time chips. How I got in was I did an online survey (I must have registered with them, because they keep on sending invitations). Sometimes, when you answer the questions the way you like them, they ask you if you would be willing to test a certain (new) product (usually the subject of the survey). If you say yes, you will recieve, in the mail, within the next few days a package. Actually I think it is FedEx'd or Purolator'd. Included in the package is the product and a survey form. You test the product and fill out the survey. Within a few days, someone will call you and go through the survey with you, and you give them the answers you have written down. There is no other reimbursement other than the free product as far as I know.

So I'm also a member of TNS and have tested 4-5 products so far over the past few years.

Does anyone know if there is an incentive for trying these products, filling out the question sheets and answering the questions over the phone? Do we get anything for the time that we put into these things - ie. monetary compensation? I asked one of the reps this evening after I answered the questions she had about the Crystal Light product, but she didn't know of any incentives that consumers get.

No, there isn't. It's out of the 'goodness of our hearts', I suppose! I like doing it to try the new/improved products. I like that they don't want us to put out any money - for example, was reimbursed for chicken cost after I tested Shake 'n Bake, and I didn't know about that ahead of time.

Thanks for the clarification. I really don't mind testing new products and answering questions as I always provide my opinions to TNS for their product testing without hesitation. I was just curious if other people were getting reimbursed in someway and I was missing out on it.

i just received a survey a crystal light survey and towards the end of the survey they said that they will be sending me some crytal light to sample and taste

I did one for laundry soap about 3 weeks ago and they indicated they were sending some but none ever arrived...too bad as laundry is a daily occurance around here and soap would have been good! I have tested the Crystal light and salad dressing in the past...

i don't understand..they sent me two crystal light surveys and both times have asked me for my address. but i never received anything from them....
