...during half-time yesterday I cooked up some bacon and made club house sandwiches with the leftover turkey..they were good!! and I toasted all the bread in the oven under the broiler so it saved time toasting 2 slices of bread at a time..lol..am I tired of turkey yet? nope...:-)..It's a cold, windy, miserable day so I might make turkey soup..
Taking the leftover goulash out of the freezer. I made a big crockpot full on Christmas eve for dinner. Will grate some cheese for those who want to top theirs off. Also have some fresh store bought buns to use up.
BBQ'ing a roast before the sun comes around the corner of the patio.
It's 80 already and climbing fast.
Why do those guys in the red truck always show up at dinner time??

Had a big lunch so wasn't overly hungry so i had Nachos with Cheese Sauce for dinner

Breaded boneless pork ribs from our local butcher (SO good, way better than anything commercial), homemade pasta salad - plus I'll be having kernel corn, with carrot and celery sticks.
Spaghetti and garlic bread for supper tonight.
..after reading about the pastas I'd like to be having that..maybe I'll make a small batch...I made a pot of turkey soup yesterday evening and it turned out so good. I used salt meat for flavoring as I didn't have the turkey carcass but I used 2 small pieces (instead of one) so it was a tad salty....oh well, better for drinking my dear!! lol..it was full of salt meat, turkey, potatoes, turnip, parsnip, onion, carrot, peas, rice, lots of spices incl bay leaf & thyme etc...I was 1/2 expecting to see Mummers last night but I guess the weather was too terrible. There's still 1/2 pot in the fridge if anyone stops by later :)
..I also have a freezer full of sweets if anyone is interested in a cup of tea...oh my!! lots of homemade Christmas gifts, molasses raisin bread, dark fruit cake, gumdrop loaf with cream cheese, there's another dark loaf but I'm not sure what's in it, homemade cookies galore..someone needs to help me eat this stuff!!!
Mom ended up off work today (hurt her back on the ice last night) so tonight we are having Homemade Mac & Cheese, yum I have been craving it for weeks but we have not been home to have it. Not sure what we will have it yet but thinking maybe Meatloaf
