Ordered in Swiss Chalet. We got a whole chicken quartered, 2 salads and fries with buns. Going to have PC cherry cheesecake for dessert.
Bought a 10 lb (4.5 kg) Cook's bone-in shank portion ham at Food Basics and asparagus at $1.88/lb, plus homemade cheesy scallopped potatoes. I think we will be feeding off leftovers for a few days before we break loose into ham & eggs, ham sandwiches and a ham soup.
Sausage with fried potatoes and brocolli.
a delicious stir fry with sliced onions, carrots, green beans, gai lan, water chestnuts, broccoli, bok choy, spinach, basil, and parsley. Added minimal drizzle of sesame oil, limited drizzle of dark soy sauce and about 30 cooked medium shrimp. DH had his on top of cooked noodles, DD and I stayed no carb. Also had cold shrimp with seafood saucer and we shared some cooked lobster tails!!
I had lunch leftovers... scalloped potatoes and a pork chop.
..I had some touton dough (which is bread dough that gets fried in a pan with lots of butter into scrumptious, crispy, golden pancakes and served with LOTS of molasses or corn syrup for dipping) that I didn't get to use on the weekend so I made a couple of pizzas...tomato sauce, oregano, loads of mozzarella, ham, salami, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, fresh pineapple and more mozzarella...one baked perfectly but the other puffed up on one side about 6 inches...lol..but still tasted great :)
BBQ back ribs with homemade sauce, roasted potatoes, kernel corn, garden salad with boiled eggs added in and a sweet dressing.
Yesterday we had porkchops on the bbq with sweet potatoes, rice and green beans. Hoping to keep shopping from the freezer and empty it!!
Tonight: Steak (from freezer) with mushrooms and onions, baked potato with the fixings and green beans (from freezer)
Having a small ham and potato salad tonight.
