Just removed 1 very large steak and mushroom pie and 2 individual ones ( all puff pastry topped ) from the oven atm.
I grabbed a really big 1/2 off priced container of Portabello shrooms at NF on Friday and wanted to use them all up right away.
Mission accomplished.
Tried and Tried to find my ambition it never came so simple dinner tonight (plus I was craving some Caesar Salad) BBQ Chicken Wings for Mom, BBQ Chicken Caesar Wraps for me and we will both have Oven Fries.
I was going to make a Cucumber Salad as well but I have never had this happen before, the first cucumber when I cut into there were pinkish/orange marks in the middle of the cucumber and they went through the whole cucumber. The second one looked fine but once I peeled it had pinkish/brown marks so I tossed both. I do still have a few cucumbers to get through the week finger cross the ones we still have are better, I did buy them at a different store.
I cooked two shepherds pies. One is in the fridge for Tuesday’s supper.
Tomorrow we’ll have steak, mushrooms, M&C, cucumber, and watermelon.
I am trying a new recipe that popped into my head the other day, we love Lasagna Zucchini Roll Ups but they are a lot of work, definitely a weekend only meal and a weekend when you have time to spend a couple of house in the kitchen.
Instead of Lasagna Zucchini Roll Ups, I am trying to make Lasagna Zucchini Boats with Cheesy Garlic Naan and Caesar Salad.
..made a pizza, made my own dough, pepperoni, ham, onion, mushroom, pineapple, black olives (what a treat to find them here!)
beef kabobs and veggies on the grill; zucchini, bell peppers, purple onion, cremini mushrooms and eggplants
DH went with all beef hot dogs ( the longer ones ) . Sometimes they hit the spot.
Have a few meal ideas to cover the next few days and no shopping needed.
Sweet and sour meatballs with rice and green beans
Porkchops with perogies, green beans and ceaser salad
Stuffed pasta with sauce and garlic naan bread
honey garlic ribs from scratch, compliments chicken balls in the air fryer, plain white rice & steamed broccoli
A pasta dinner! DH makes the yummiest batches. Soft warm Garlic Knots to go with. Leaf game after that!!
Instant Pot Pork Roast with Homemade Potato Buns on the side. Love this recipe you cook it all in the Instant Pot, it has Pork, Carrots, Potatoes & Mushrooms in a rich sauce.
Has anyone tried the Gnocchi from the FPC from Sample Source. Well i did a big of those last night. Not bad. Good as a side dish to something else. Thats what hubby had and i had a Coquille St Jacques.
Tonight im making a mini pork roast with roast potatoes, vegies and salad.
Everyone will be home tonight so steak and shrimp is on the menu! All stuff we have on hand.
..have ground beef in the fridge but not sure what I feel like just yet, leaning towards a pasta/macaroni bake but will see later
