hey, the chili finally got made....finished simmering it about 25 minutes ago. I splashed a bit of red wine in near the end just because! Mmmm, I know what I'm having for lunch and dinner.

Ribs and burgers. Guess I forgot about the burger patties I made yesterday for tonight's dinner when I put the ribs in the crockpot this morning.

Beef keema-basically hamburger, onions and frozen peas with cumin and curry powder-served over mashed potatoes rather than rice as my potatoes need using up.

I ordered take out from an Indian-Asian Fusion restaurant earlier this week and OMG, everything was super tasty. Chicken dumplings, chicken spring rolls, Street Special Mixed fried rice, with egg, shrimp and chicken in it. I could really taste the cumin in all the items, plus other spices that I recognize but forget what they're called. DH was apprehensive at first
while DS gobbled the items up happily. Eventually DH came around and said he liked it all.

This morning I just could not help myself, made another batch of chili! The beans had already been soaked, pressure cooked and frozen so all that was left was the chopping of veg, browning the meat, etc. Plenty of main course options in the fridge for the guys ( and me!! ) to choose from. I will take a break now from cooking.Last edited by walkonby; Mon, Jun 17th, 2024 at 01:49 PM.

We have an Indian/Asian fusion place here and it was AMAZING. I only say was since we haven’t been since the pandemic since we rarely if ever go to a restaurant (it’s too far for takeout) and there’s not a ton for us to eat that’s vegan but I do miss it.
Last night we ordered Panago. I was too tired and sore after the delay and then working out and I was STARVING after the workout so pizza it was. Leftovers for Dh's lunch today

After a late night grocery shopping we had homemade potato salad, beyond chickun tenders, hummus with aged balsamic and cucumbers.
