My DD made her own homemade version of " mac and cheese". I woke up from a nap to see just about every kitchen utensil, pot, etc dirty as I suppose she boiled elbow pasta, grated real cheddar, etc. I was shocked ( at the mess, lol) ...but it tasted very good. Worth the mess I say, as she is getting to know the difference in packaged verses home cooked.
Had hotdogs, and made soup out of the leftovers from last night - so it was kinda like meatball soup. Uh, the baby kittens loved the broth with bread soaked in it, lol!
Homemade chicken strips (marinated in Italian dressing, coated, then oven-fried), McCain hashbrowns, and the last of the marinated veggies.
leftover chili from last night. Everything was fresh from the garden, I spent all afternoon chopping onions, garlic, tomatos, peppers and jalapenos (which were not fun). But was SO darn delicious. Then for dessert I have leftover chocolate chip zucchini bread, it's been a challenge trying to use up all of the zucchini from the garden... lol. Recipe ideas would be appreciated ;)
