Tonight we had a Thali

boiled rice
Balti chicken
Aloo Gobi cauliflower, potato and pea curry
Bindi badji okra curry
tarka daal lentil curry

home made naans and parathas..

I love cooking Indian food...i love eating Indian food too...:tongue: closest I can get to lip licking..

Barbecued hotdogs for supper - no one was hungry!

I've simmered a pot of reppin' stew,
& I'm gonna share it will all of you,
It's got parsnips, potatoes, carrots & beans,
Some tomatoes, snap peas & collard greens
Red peppers, green peppers & garlic galore,
& you can’t buy this stew in your grocery store,
I’ve added lots of onions that were evenly diced,
& a slew of seasonings to keep it spiced,
Some corn, some chick peas & some guy peas too,
& the secret ingredient, if you only knew!
Just head on over & I’ll fill up your bowl,
Cause reppin’ stew is good for your soul.

I always like doing something special for the first day back. Have a Pork Roast cooking as we speak. Then potatoes and corn. I am going out for a bit today so maybe even splurdge and pick up a pie! Still have my free vanilla chapmans icecream lol

making mac and cheese from scratch for DH cause he loves the stuff :P

Just an update found a really BIG Pumpkin Pie that had to come home with me lol Hadn't had pie in I don't know how long so it was worth 7.00

Orientation day at the college so it was free burgers and hotdogs, chips, and free vitamin water. Yum yum!

Pretty sure there were free condoms next to the burgers as well......lmao!

made a lasagna today when dd2 was napping. went with a garlic clove loaf i bought at a farmers market yesterday.

I made a simple chicken stir-fry with noodles.

HH Beef stroganoff (yum!), with a huge Caesar salad.

My ds went to oreinetation day at the Uni - free burger and hotdogs too and free drink. You can imagine he was quite happy:rolleyes:

Aw, you guys, what to do with a shy son who won't go to those things? My son just won't go to them! I'm so worried he'll miss out on all the fun orientation/welcome stuff at his college!
