We are going at Whole food today to enjoy the dinner. We normally prefer to spend time there. Awesome food and good service.
okra (cooked south asian style) and quinoa pilaf (onion, celery, chickie broth) ;p
Last night, Oriental party pack from M&M (yum); steamed chicken and veggie potstickers, noodles.
grilled chicken, smashed taters, minestroni soup
Homemade pizzas. One veggie, one pepperoni.
The stew I started cooking on Sunday evening for Monday's eating was awful - bland and yucky. So, last night, I added kidney beans (canned), cooked squash, and LOTS of seasoning. Voila - tonight it tasted great.
Wendark, I've learned that anything can be rescued - glad it worked out for you!
I made a soup you almost had to eat with a fork - wow, was it good, but thinning it would have lost its intense flavour. Started with a base of a little bit of ground pork, onions, celery, tomatoes, mushrooms, with barley, rice and leftover pasta thrown in. Had leftover herb biscuits with it.
This evening is meatless, because it's the Eve of Theophany (Epiphany) - and I haven't decided yet what to make. Tomorrow is the "last day of Christmas"...
last night was spaghetti and home made meatballs, fresh outta the machine bread lol with garlic, onion and cheese in it.
tonight, still not sure, but thinking hot itallian sausage fried up with some onion, mashed spuds and brown beans. not exactly their favourite meal...won't be very popular for serving the beans :P
eggplants with ground beef and one of them was bitter so screwed up the whole thing !
Yabbit, it wasn't 'quite' a stew, but wow was it a hit! There's a bit leftover for supper tonight.
Decided I'm going to make phyllo vegetable pie for supper - and decide later if I'll make something else to go with. It takes SO long to make the pie, but it's worth making it a few times a year. It's got layers of rice, onions, spinach and garlic, cottage cheese, tomato sauce, and mozza - all wrapped lovingly in phyllo pastry. YUM!
not sure yet. kids are going to neighbors(we have cake class) and eating there
so might just grab something from the freezer and throw it in the crock pot. maybe meatballs. or sausage.
I'm trying white chicken chili. Never made it before but I've heard great things about it
Cheseburgers(BBQ) & salad
