Belated Happy Birthday KJ. Sounds like you had a yummy celebration.
batter fried up some cod, some basa and some rainbow trout ( I know?! kinda strange to do the trout but it was good like that )
tossed very thinly sliced potatoes ( used a different slicing attachment from my machine) into the oil and they came out like potato chips!
I made a shepherds pie and a vegetarian chili so there is a choice on our menu tonight!
Last night was had pasta with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms & peppers
Tonight was Sausage on a bun with Chips, we were supposed to have Chicken but next thing we knew it was 5:30 no dinner was started so quick and easy sausages.
Tomorrow will be chicken or steak as we have both in the fridge
Takeout night - husband had boneless ribs from a Greek place, he eats them with just bread. (yup)
I went German - had my fave schnitzel, spaetzle, sauerkraut, and a sausage. Big portion, so enough left for tomorrow. Gosh, it's good - especially for mall foodcourt food!
DH won a GC for a local restaurant. No idea what type of food it is. I will be having something for supper there tonight.
Mini bacon and cheese quiche, side salad (red onion, carrots, broccoli) and apple streudel.
Perogies with onions in butter and sour cream.
Tonight is my surprise birthday party..lol...on the short list for grub there's shiskabobs with pork, chicken and beef..bbq'd chicken (it's rainy and windy here today..yikes) wings, meatball, egg rolls, pizza, sausage rolls..various cheese/meat/pickle/cracker trays, taco dip, ...NACHO'S...there's a huge crowd expected so it's going to be a great night ..:)
Last night we had chicken and mushroom in gravy over mashed potatoes, normally we do this with steak but first time trying it with chicken, it was yummy will become a new favourite in our house. Yep the weather is changing and we are switching to comfort food we have had gravy twice so far this week.
Made up 2 deep dish homemade meat pies....they never last too long.
Toaster strudel again. Every time I say strudel, it is in my best Arnold Swarsanegger imitation.
mac and cheese
Chicken apple sausage on a bun.
Schneiders natural bbq wings (never had before), homemade potato wedges - edited out salad to have all finger food so cucumber spears for me, and raw cauliflower for us both.
Steak Sandwiches with Mushrooms and Onion and Roasted Mini Potatoes

Like this, but ours is 'deconstructed' - we don't roll the mixture in the sour cabbage leaves (they cost too much!), but instead just cook the ground meat/rice rolls with sauerkraut in the broth/sauce.
Don't know yet who will make them - my husband did teach me, and mine are good!
Found a small pork roast in our freezer so I will cook that with some roasted carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes.
I have agreed to try new foods or re try foods I did not like as a child so I am re trying sweet potatoes, kind of nervous which is why I am also making the potatoes this way if I do not like the sweet potatoes I still have regular potatoes I can eat. As well kind of nervous never cooked a pork roast before, dinner could be interesting tonight.
lots of leftovers from last nights party, thank goodness as I definitely don't feel like cooking today!! :) leftover shishkabobs so will just re-heat those....I did the marinades for the beef, pork and chicken and it all tasted amazing...I mixed up oils, spices, soya, etc for the meats but for the chicken just used the Kraft Mandarin Orange with Sesame and it added a really nice flavour...will be using that one again!
Pork chops, roast potatoes, roast cauliflower and apple crisp.
hamburger patties on the bbq and potatoes, carrots and turnips on the bbq also and a nice tomato and onion salad.
(potates, carrots andturnips on thebbq: cut potatoes into smaller peices , same with carrots and turnips, add salt, Pepper and garlic powder to taste. Toss well. empty all this onto a larger aluminum pie plate (or whatever you want to use), put 3 tsps of butter spaced nicely on top, coverwith aluminum foil. put on low heat on top section of bbq for 1 hour.) quantity dépends on how many people you want to serve.

DS was at a birthday party until 5, going for pizza so I thought that he'd not need supper.
I was mistaken. He came home, asked for a snack, then shortly before 6 he asked when supper was coming (he NEVER asks that). Chicken in the oven now (since he didn't like the chicken i cooked last night with Clubhouse Garlic+ so he won't eat leftovers of that).
I wanna know how I got roped into making a massive lasagna around 5:00 p.m. today??? ( thought for sure the meat pies would suffice ) There were compliments flying around about how yummy it is and man would they ever love some.... and next thing I know I am grating cheese and thawing ground meat....lol. All done now.
You're TOO good of a cook, WOB!!! Lucky them!
