I made perogies last night - sour cherry, and potato onion. My dough was too thick. I will persevere and get it right!

..haven't been in the mood much lately for cooking lol, just been making food stuff ....nothing exciting...but I'm making pizza this evening ..AND...hoping to finally go to the cabin tomorrow, hopefully for the weekend but apparently we have more bad weather on the way for Friday. so could end up stranded at the cabin for several days if the wind is too high for the boat, so will have to see...I p/u groceries today to make lobster bisque (its very easy and I just use frozen lobster meat and an immersion blender, onion, celery, carrots, mushroom, white wine, chicken stock , half & half and spices) chili, cornbread muffins & maybe peas soup with dumplings...and of course stuff to make smores...and wieners and steaks..and breakfast stuff..and snacks..and sweets,...

I'm hungry reading all these posts. Well I took out a container from the freezer but wasn't sure if it was homemade pasta sauce or chili. If it is sauce then I'm making pasta for dinner. If it is chili then that is lunch tomorrow and I need to figure out dinner )

We are having an assortment for my family to choose from as desired-frozen pizza, leftover chicken, garlic toast, pasta salad and green salad. I am pretty sure I have all the food groups in there somewhere.

Awesome, good for you! Gee, I missed making cherry perogies this year!

Tonight's supper is leftover prime rib and sides. Hopefully if I very slowly and gently heat the meat in the pan juices it will stay tender.

congrats @Natalka on cooking up your first ever Prime rib roast!! You will find that it is really hard to go back to the flavour of plain old beef after eating that cut!! ha ha
I used a " nasty " marinade on some large chicken thighs that everyone hear loves!! I say nasty because I know it is a packet of sugar, salt and crap....but the taste is out of this world.

Also deep fried up about 5 lbs of thick cut fresh chips and pan fried some cod fillets. The sides were easy peasy....broccoli and green beans that I had previously flash cooked and froze them in ziplocs. Thank goodness the sweets from Thanksgiving are gone, trying so hard not to bake anything until Christmas now. ha ha
