I am taking a quick break from cleaning my craft room and wondering what crafty things other people do? I love making soap, my room smells nice all of the time from a mixture of essential oils and dried flowers. I also sew a little (not fancy stuff), things I need around the house and patch dh work clothes. I like to crochet but have a hard time following patterns so some things turn out unique, lol.

Very - however, it's slowed way down now because I have trouble with my hands and shoulders, so it's very limited.
I got carpal tunnel from doing cross-stitch embroidery too much!
I do very basic sewing, love mending. I do more hand sewing - all kinds of cross-stitch, but especially Ukrainian; other types of embroidery too like crewel, needlepoint, plastic canvas, etc.
I used to do pysanky, Ukrainian Easter eggs - but that had to stop a few years ago.
And just general crafts - some things with silk/dried flowers like wreaths and such; kids' crafts - like things for babies; Christmas ornaments, recycled crafting, some basic folk painting on wood, etc.; I'll take a stab at almost anything.
However, cannot for the life of me crochet or knit. Just am missing that gene somehow!
Aw, just talking about all this makes me miss this all so much more... but funny, I still create patterns, keep files, scour websites, etc.
(However, I procrastinate.... I have all the ingredients to make soaps and bathbombs, but I think they've all expired by now!)

I have a hard time doing my crafts because I have health issues but my DD comes over on soap making days to help with the stirring and she is very creative as well so we end up with some wonderful smellies. My craft room cleaning is going to take a couple of days I didn't realize I had so much stuff in there. I started out trying to make some more storage room for tp but ended up changing my mind and I will be moving my crafts downstairs, closer to my printer anyway because I have a transfer kit and I want to try making t-shirts with logos. I would love to see pics of some of your crafts.

Yes I would like to say that I am crafty but maybe in a different way, maybe handy would better describe it. Too bad I don't have pics. of my son's craft fairs at school. Used to make tons of stuff for that. LOL I made these flower boxes and benches for my friend's new condo last year. Does this count?

Well I thought I was a little crafty until I saw your pics of homemade soaps and the flower boxes/benches, lol......I'm somewhat crafty. I love making up gift baskets, I'm just starting to make hair accessories for little ones since I can't find any hair clips that will stay in her hair!! Ummm I have a TON of scrapbooking but have yet to start I made little things like seatbelt covers for my daughter's car seat and stroller. I love decorating!!! But when it comes to knitting I have no idea what I am doing, lol....

I have tried knitting but can't do it, I even tried a knitting machine thinking it would be easy **wrong** not for me. I have very talented DD's as well, one paints and crochets the other makes beautiful jewellery and crochets. I used to do doilies but eyesight is failing so I stick with the yarn now. Here is a pic of a crocheted shawl.

Hi Mom (tidytaurus)
You do make some amazing soaps and your knit & crochet is awesome!
Being the offspring of such a crafty momma I dabble in metalsmithing and wire work:
I won't bore you with hundreds of pictures of my work, but if you wanted to see more you could go to this link... here.
and Patty.... stunning! You have got some serious talent building those!
