shaman, that company DOES make the best saskatoon berry products!
BTW, you can get 20kg size for the filling - but their other products come in "wee" sizes, too, as their site says!
For more ahem, personal use, the syrup might be a good idea...

There is a big Crab Apple tree in my parents back yard, so when I still lived there I used to make Crab Apple pie. If you make it and eat it on the second day it is SUPER delicious!! By the second day the Crab Apples have absorbed the sugar fully....

So I got it into my head to bake a pie today. Mixed up the dough for the crust. Then I realized I don't have enough blueberries for the filling (forgot all about that midnight snack on Sat). So, now I'm thinking I'll make mini pies (tarts). Will a muffin tin work for tarts?
Guess I'll find out.
Countess - wanna come over for blueberry, strawberry & whatever I can find in my fridge tarts?
