I told the bf I want a pie for my birthday and not cake.

He replied that you can't stick candles in a pie.....and that it's just weird to anyways.

You so can, you can put candles in DQ's blizzard cakes (the ones that look like pie) and who cares about candles.... you should just have both Then you would both be happy lol.

OH! I just made my late Mom's apple pie and omg....the house smells wonderful and the pie will be fantastic!! I'm so thankful I came across that recipe again....I should have it bronzed! LOL!!!

I finally think I am worthy of this thread. I made 3 apple pies for Christmas this year, from scratch, using the recipe from the Joy of Cooking.

Next year, I'm buying an apple peeler.
