Had another amazing evening. Tonight was another round of Carole Pope (well, partly, cause I had to run around & actually do work), a bit of Heather Bambrick, a glimpse into the Seven Deadly Sins (Patricia O'Callaghan singing Kurt Weil while Andrea Nann does interpretive dance - really really stunning from what I saw), a few more notes from the Tom Waits Songbook, & the highlight of my night Molly Johnson (sweet lady with an amazing voice).
Sorry, these are the best clips I could find (not this venue, I`m the one that has to enforce the no photo rules ). Considering my state (exhausted & revved up, my body can`t decide which is which), I`m surprised I found any at all.

I can lay in bed and look out my window and see them right over the house.

I've been on hold with Rogers for 15 minutes...this is the second time because I was disconnected while speaking with one of their customer services reps. Customer service my @ss. I have only been a Rogers customer for 3 months and I am so frustrated, I'm going to lose it.

The irony was that the show I was so looking forward to I had to miss (too many things going on at once). So no Leonard Cohen Songbook for me this year. But the Stephen Sondheim tribute more than made up for it. I also got to see Lorraine Segato (full concert & snippets of her second show), a bit of the Anais Project, a little Murray McLauchlan, a touch of Sharron Matthews (she's amazing, half chanteuse, half comedienne, & one of the nicest people you could hope to meet). & I had a lot of fun trying to explain to people that there were no Nuit Blanche exhibits to be seen & that this was a ticketed event. Even more fun was trying to explain to patrons waiting to see concerts that the folks who wandered in wearing pillows sewn to their toques & folks enveloped in bubble wrap were part of Nuit Blanche, not some avant garde concert going experience. Still, it was better than the folks who had to carry a very long banner round all the buildings outside in the cold (I counted three times round before I went off to do other things). Gotta love Saturday night in the city.
A couple of highlights for me (couldn`t find an accoustic version of Rise Up, you`ll have to use your imaginations ).
