so i have good news and bad news
good news first sort of

it is just a hernia and it's not it's colan or bowels coming out it's just fluid so phew that's what was scaring the poop out of us

bad news
it will require surgary and the urologist that we saw today doesn't perform those so now we have to be refferred to yet another specialist and wait so it looks like a few more months of waiting for all to be done ugh i hate the wait

thanks vee just glad that it's nothing too serious when they start talking about your childs colan dying right off the bat it kinda freaks you out i just hate waiting and i guess alittle mad that i was sent to a specialist who can't help me and i have to play the waiting game again

Nancy, good that it's diagnosed... too bad it means more of a wait. Make sure once you do get a date for his surgery that you tell them to put you on the cancellation list - sometimes that speeds things up a lot.

I SO feel for you. I know the waiting game all to well. In 7 years I've seen 19 specialists only to be told I was being referred to someone else. The wait in between apts sometimes took a year.

Being that it's your CHILD makes it 100x worse. I really hope you get someone GOOD and that it doesn't take too long and meanwhile, I pray your little one feels no pain and has no health issues.

Is it possible for you to see a specialist in a children's hospital where you live? I know that makes it easier because if they can't be the one to help you they don't have to refer you, they book a consult with the Doc who can. The wait then is usually cut down by a lot seeing as they lay priority internally.
