I'll trade your wet snow for our -40... is it a deal???

Even when (if?) we warm up a bit tomorrow, snow will come then!

The snow falling at -40 is the nice crisp stuff. This is the slushy messy garbage that will freeze as soon as the temps drop. Ugh.

Wish the minor hockey season was over already...I am so tired of wrangling G into his gear, and chasing Ro around the rink. Three more games, 4 more practices. Not sure I want to do this again next year.
And don't get me started on stuck-up hockey moms...

A friend of mine had 2 girls in soccer for years, 2 different teams, summer and winter and she still can't figure out how she did it. I think it knocked 5 years off her life too. lol

A trip to the grocery store tonight ended with me calling 911 for a man who possibly overdosed on pain killers.

This is the second time I've called 911 in only 7 months since moving to my new town.

It is surprising how stupid the questions sound from the 911 operator. I understand that they need certain information but if I can't provide it there is no use asking me for it over and over.

What was even more surprising was the total lack of help from the employees at Food Basics. The 911 operator wanted the stores address, when I ran in asking the employees they just said "I don't know". I told them that I there was a medical emergencies outside and that I was on the phone with 911 and NO ONE in the store did anything to help.

To top it off, the man's 9 year old son was there completely scared and frozen from sitting in a cold car trying to wake his dad up (for who knows how long). He pleaded with my not to call 911 because his mother was on her way. I told him that I have to all an ambulance to get help for his dad and that he won't be trouble. The mother still hadn't shown up even after the ambulance drove away and I just had to leave the boy with the police. I have a feeling that the boys home life was possibly not the greatest and I just hope I haven't made things more difficult for him.

Yeah sometimes I am dumbfounded by the questions also. I call 911 so often I should have it on speed dial. I am one of those people that always seem to be in the middle of stuff.

Oh, boy, Robyn! Here it's up to -20, but the windchill is -34, very crazy out there and now there is some snow which is blowing madly.

Ooo, looked yours up - you are at -29, with a windchill warning of -34.
Looks like we are both going to have crazy frigid weeks again, ARGH!

Surprisingly nice out today - scary part is I looked it up and it is still -19 with the windchill!!! it has been VERY cold here!!!

Registered my baby for kindergarten this morning. It was bad enough when my first DD started school - what am I going to do

So I treated myself to a Starbucks latte - so not worth 4.98!!! I keep thinking about how much I could have bought with that $5!!! In fact I should go post a brag what I got for less than that this morning!!!
