DH had to get medical treatment in the states. Had to fork out $2500 in advance. Anyone want to bash our health care system?

Oh, my, Patty - is he okay? Was that treatment not available in Quebec or Canada? Or was it a matter of speed? Depending upon the circumstances, I know here in SK, those kinds of costs can be reimbursed (plus travel, meals, etc.).
Please wish him the best from me, and I hope he's better soon!

He's at a Microsoft conference in Vegas, one of the events at night was Karting and he slammed into a wall and the side of the kart bruised his ribs. This was the cost for a hospital visit and x-rays
Funny enough someone else at the conference came in a couple of hours later with the SAME injury. Makes me wonder about the safety of the track.
Hopefully our insurance will cover 100%

Oh, gee - and so crazy that two of them were injured the same.
Hope your insurance covers it - if not, go after the company since it was an affiliated event.

I got happy pills!
I already got an email from the insurance saying my claim was approved. It was there before I got back to the Hotel. I'm not looking forward to the flight home.

I can't blow my nose, laugh, cough, breathe heavily. I hope I don't have to go for a # 2 because I think I would pass out from the pain.

It was a sponsored event so eveyone was doing it, women included. I got in trouble by trying to be too polite. I tried to pass someone but I tried to stay away from them and in doing so, got too close to the wall. I think I will work from home next week. I can't drive while I am on the happy pills.

Came within a hair of losing an eye last night. Cat got spooked by the other cat jumped over the bed landed on my face and launched his 15 lb body off it. Got scratches in my eye lid and scalp and chin. Being allergic doesn't help, it gets really swollen. Yay Friday!

Patty and DH,
I wonder if your children are going to be scratching their heads this week...aren't mom and dad supposed to fix their boo-boo's? Have a safe and relaxing weekend.
