    Well hello to everyone!

A quick note from Loocie, but I cannot stay long,
I am in the rehab hospital, where I must learn to be strong,
Getting better and better each & every day,
Although my recovery seems slow in many a way,
I miss you all & I so miss my life,
Being surgically challenged sure can cause strife,
I hope to be back in a few weeks time,
But for now, I'll just say hello in this quick little rhyme,
I have to say missing you all is a bummer,
I can't believe that soon we'll be saying farewell to summer,
Wish me well, cause it's off I must go,
Day after day it's more physio,
Now to check my pm's & my rep comments too,
I can't wait to be back full time dear people with all of you!

    Loocie has poetry-writer's block.

    Happy Saturday!!
Do you know there are many songs all about Saturday?
Lonely ballads, songs of romance & some doo wop along the way,
One More Saturday Night, is a tune by The Grateful Dead,

The Carpenters sang a song called Saturday, but it wasn’t a hit widespread,
One of Chicago’s biggest hits was Saturday in the Park,
& Elton John said Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting probably after dark,
Cat Stevens once had nobody on Another Saturday Night,
& King Crimson had a Book of Saturday, another tune about plight,
David Bowie’s Drive-In Saturday was on the album Aladdin Sane,
& Same Old Saturday Night by’ ole blue eyes’ goes well with champagne,
Louisiana Saturday Night by Alabama is schmaltzy & kinda twangy,
& Saturday Night by the Bay City Rollers may be bound to drive you rangy,
Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night contains wailing by Jon Bon Jovi,
& Almost Saturday Night by John Fogerty, is sung in the key of D,
On Saturday Afternoons in 1963 is by the lovely Rickie Lee Jones,
& Tom Wait’s Heart of Saturday Night sure has melodic tones,
I’m sure there are many Saturday songs that I’ve omitted from my prose,
So at this time, I shall conclude & bring these queries to a close.

I just discovered this really cool and interesting thread.
I'm nursing a sick cat with a collasped lung and finding that feeding pills to a cat isn't easy.
The best things in life...aren't things

I have one of those little things I got from the vet. that shoots the pill in to the mouth. Works well, saves fingers.

Oy, not a dope at all - two of my son's fave foods, well - if the spanakopita had cheese. He loves dolmas with rice, Greek-style. What did you put in your stuffing? (I've made sarma with cabbage leaves, but not used grape leaves.)
