If I don't put them in containers and just freeze them in the dishes that I made them in, how do I wrap them so that they won't get freezer burn?

I know tin foil is good, but is it good enough?
I wrap mine in plastic wrap as well.

that is funny! maybe he is from the states! I went to Disneyland in 2006 with my family in Feb. and it was like 25 and the Disneyland people and other locals were wearing scarves and winter jackets...we were in shorts and tank tops and it was sooo hot to us!! You could always spot the Canadians because the Canadians would be in the shorts! lol

I am thinking plastic as well. I know my mom used to freeze it in the dish and then pop it out of the dish and then wrap it up so the dish would not be in the freezer as well. I am guessing that is what you are doing? I think she used foil and plastic wrap/plastic bags. Hope this helps?

It was pretty tough. He was Kevin's 1st real best school friend. We had gone to his 7th b'day party on the Saturday and the Tuesday morning the phone rand at 6:30 (you know that's not good) and one of the moms told me he had died suddenly. Appprently he was feeling tired he had supper went to bed and had some kind of seizure. It turned out later after much investigation that he has some rare type of epilepsy. He had a couple of seizures before but always came out of it.

The mom had another boy who is now 4 and when he was 2 he had the same type of seizure and it turns out the mom is the carrier of the gene. SHe had no idea. Can you imagine now having another one with the same thing and now you blame yourself because you are the one who passed it down.

Last night I nearly lost it completely because my son is now 13 also and when he was standing beside the 4 year old all I could think of was that could have been RYan and his little brother standing there blowing out candles together.

Oh how sad.....I remember you posting about this in another thread and I figured he was who you were referring to when you mentioned it here yesterday. It is always devestating for anyone to lose a child, but the parents shouldn't blame themselves, we have no control over genes.

You go to a memorial or a funeral and it really hits home how precious life is and how important it is to treasure people and each day and not be so fixated on the petty stuff.

Must have been especially hard for you going and having a son the same age as his friend... I can't even imagine

    Sorry Patty

Aw, send her my way, Patty! I love to play! I have tons of games, craft supplies, feather boas, even!

Sad about that memorial, and harder now I would think for your son as he has matured...
A supervisor I worked with had three sons, and all passed away to the same disorder just as they hit pre-teen years, several years between each of them. Just tragic.

Wanna send her here? My Lily dog would be in heaven (she loves loves loves kids). Even my silly cat has a thing for little girls (he lets little girls - but not boys, unless they're adults - pick him up, squeeze him & kiss him all over).

Lily dog & I went up to our rooftop terrace. Usually the lazy brat just sits on the bench & watches me run around, today she actually ran circles around me. She's now taking a nap, I think I'm gonna join her.

aww Andit that sounds like the way it should be! The dog runs around and the owner watches! lol Glad she got the excercise today! Maybe she was getting tired of watching you run around and figured it looked fun and she would give it a try? lol

Patty I wish I knew what to say-I have been reading your posts and just feel at a loss for words on what to say. It sounds just awful but at the same time it is good that he is being remembered on his bday. I don't know if it will ever really be easy to do this since you are remembering someone who did die but maybe it will get easier? I guess it makes one realize how precious life is and how easily we can be here one day and gone the next. Give your headache an extra hug today and your son an extra hug too! lol I can't give you an actual hug so just imagine you are getting a giant hug! I love giving hugs! Even virtual ones!
