Hey anything is good. I started about 25 years ago with just some orange and black balloons and some party streamers hanging from my tree. Even that was a big hit back then because there was NOTHING in the way of hallowe'en decorations. Good thing I married someone who was just as enthusiastic (o.k. did he really have a choice, no) about it.

Back from my doctor appointment. Anyone else hate being sick? Anyone else hate the word rare and special?

Cold winter gloom has settled in over Olympic city. Could get 90mm. of rain in the next couple of days. On the weather channel, the two week forecast was for 14 days of rain.
The big Olympic lock down has started. Tried to walk around the convention centre yesterday and was thwarted by miles of security fencing and guards. Imagine H1N1 and the Olympics coming to a peak at the same time...

feeling better today than I was the past few days. I was feeling really yucky but today I have had a huge appetite! I am sooo hungry again and that is great because the sight of food was making me cringe and want to throw up for the last few days.

Got back a little while ago from the downtown Toronto SCer meet, lots of fun as always. Took the short one with me - of course everyone made a fuss over him. I put him in a dress & brought his princess outfit, but was talked out of putting his hat on, something about preserving a shred of his dignity.

Andit, your cat like to go in public? That is so nice.
I have tried taking my grump out a few times and he gets so scared his tail becomes 10X the normal size, when we get home he is made at me for awile haha punishment I guess for tormenting him.

Because I'm a dog person, I've always treated Quincy cat like a dog, so I take him out to get him used to people & other places. He was scared at first, now he just gets bored. He sticks his nose into the bottom of the purse & refuses to look at me when he's had enough & is annoyed with me. As long as he's in my purse (he LOVES purses!), he's a happy boy.
He's now been on streetcars, buses & subways in my purse. He's also good about travelling in his carrier, cause the 3 of us (dog, cat & I) go to my parents once a month or so for a visit (my Dad drives us back & forth).
It's not his favourite thing to go out, but he doesn't mind too much. It's really funny when we get near home, his nose starts twitching. Then when we're in the lobby of my building, he sticks his head out. By the time we get to my floor, he's jumped out of my purse & is pulling on the leash to drag me home. He knows that when we get there, he'll get a special treat, so he sits by the cookie jar & screams at me.
