heat alert in town for next 2 days and today....its cant-stand-outside-for-more-than-a-minute-hot.

Since when is +34 (with humidity) worthy of mass panic? Until ya can cook breakfast on the sidewalk, it's still cold!

I don't know if anyone has heard the terrible story of the man who went on a rampage and killed 4 people? He took his 4 year old and slammed head on to 2 young brothers(25 and 14) who were returning from a fishing trip then stole his soon to be ex's car and slammed that into another car killing himself and the boy apparently she was witness to this. Seems like it's another case of a man flipping out because his wife left him. Why does this happen time and time again? So many men do this. At one time in Quebec women being killed by ex-spouses was epidemic. Why take other innocents with you just do yourself off and spare us?

Only bad for those with breathing problems, my dad has asthma. Do you know that the local CLSC(community health clinic) calls me every year to make sure I have air conditioning for my parents.

My parents are in their 70s (don't look or act it) & are probably the last people in Canada who don't have a/c. I have a/c but rarely use it (I can count on one hand the number of times I've turned it on in the 9 yrs I've lived here - I LOVE the heat!).

But I WANT sun!!! Maybe you could use your umbrella as a parasol? That would protect you from sunburns, give you a built in shade, & make you look fashionable.

Wow, you guys, SO jealous you have it warm. It's 5 degrees and raining - and the HIGH today will be - wait for it - FIVE!!! I don't want it to be above 30, but sheesh, the teens would be nice!
