So I was so impressed with the Frugal February Chatter stared by FallenPixels
that myself & my family and other SC members have decided to continue onwards with continuing our developed spending strategies/budgets, no spending days, paying off debt and of course the best part,
THE CHATTER with fellow members encouraging others and sharing their own experiences and struggles and surprises.

I am subscribing to this thread by saying, I really hope I get my tax return this week! Planning on getting a new to us vehicle and using the rest to get ahead with some other savings!

April needs to be our super lean month. I head back to work this month and with the way paycheques work, it's going to be tight for a bit.

My Goal this month is to stay out of the grocery stores unless it is absolutely necessary!Freezers are full, tons of pantry items, what else do I need!!I also want to get my seedlings started inside to save some money on bedding plants. Unfortunately my sons feet have grown two sizes in the last few months so we have to go buy gym shoes and regular shoes.

I hope April warms up. Looking forward to saving by turning off the heat and saving on energy costs.
Love that it's more daylight hours - saving on lighting in the house. We can turn on light later in the evening.

I too am joining in this month. I have been doing the challenge for the past two months, but this is the first I am posting. I have finally decided what I want to do when I grow up( I'm 51) , and now have to find a way to go back to school . I have been a single parent since 1999, and both my children are now enrolled in post secondary education. I worked in a career that was very stressful to me while I was raising them, and know that it has taken a toll on me physically. I want to go into counseling and specialize in separation and divorce. After leaving the high stress job, I haven't found on going employment since 2009. But, I did find this place.............which, has been like finding an ongoing part time job. I spend a lot of time here, and have saved an incredible amount of money since finding sc. My goal now is to save even more, and somehow find a way to keep up with my bills and return to school full time. Looking forward to the month of April.

Hoping to be more active this time around, I'll try to work on a budget this week. I have to factor in a lot of costs to get the car on the road this month so things will be a little tough.

I am in as well. DH's truck died this past week and we have decided to not replace it. It was not worth the fixing. So now we are saving for the basement finishings ( drywall, subfloor and trim), bathroom, and now a new truck too. When it rains, it pours!!!

I have no idea what is in store for this month yet. I was supposed to only be in our other location for the month of March but our new location is not open yet so for this will I will rotate locations again. Next week I cannot as we have two people off next week so I have to stay in our main location. Not sure what will come after next week as our new location still is not staffed so not sure who if anyone they will be sending up and if it will mean me working out of a different location.
The good news is I am so tired I do not have the ambition to shop, even grocery shopping right now is exhausting just to think about.

The jars are out rather than the budget sheet I have been doing just so DH has a better idea of what is going on. I think I will keep track of my no spend days better this month as it was a total flop on my part last month.
Hoping to make some more extra money this month but not sure I can top last month's total of $405.00 but you never know.

I am going to track my no spend days again. March was not as great with just 6 no spend days. I am aiming for 10 this month. And since it is my bday month I should be able to enjoy some freebies.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I can walk to do many of my errands which means I'll save by not having to take public transportation as much. Oh, and because I'll be walking more, I can also spend less time at the gym! Win-win
