Hello SC friends! I have some sad news to share about Lynn49's family, unfortunately.
Lynn's brother who had been in ill health passed away today.
It's certainly very hard to lose your younger brother! His daughter is scheduled to be married in September. Very sad for the whole family!
Please include her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Awful to hear this, I know he had been through a lot.
Keeping his family, Lynn and her family, in my prayers - with deepest condolences.
So very sorry for this huge loss, Lynn

Thank you, everyone for your kind thoughts, prayers and condolences.
My brother finally lost his 35 year battle with diabetes, passing away on his birthday, July 21st. I will miss my little brother. He was my only sibling, but I know he's in a far better place, with our parents, out of pain, free from diabetes, and as free as a new spirit can be. It's his family who are left to grieve his passing.
We will be leaving for Cobourg on Thursday morning for his grave-side funeral that afternoon, staying with my sister-in-law that night, and sharing his Celebration of Life ceremony Friday afternoon, returning home late that night.
Thank you all again; it has been a shock....family celebrations will certainly never be the same.
