well, a month is usually my time frame as well, however, with this trade I got a pm from the trader on Jan 22nd saying they have not received my envie or heard from me (i don't know what other traders do, but i don't really communicate with any traders after my trades have been finalized until a month & that's only if i don't receive their envie - usually the feedback i leave for them is my way of saying "i got your envie" - and then i got a pm on jan 28th and jan 29th - so i just wanted to make sure i wasn't being unfair with the timeframe of "waiting for a month" before worrying.

Just a comment. I have received numerous envelopes over the last year that were postmarked much later than the person indicated they were mailed. Invariably when I checked the postal code it would be for a large postal sorting station in a major center. The person mailing would be in a smaller community and a long way from this location. The first couple of times I wondered, but then it happened with something my mother sent. My conclusion is that CP is not postmarking until it gets to the large sorting station and it would appear that things can often spend a long, long time getting that far. I have made a mental note this year to try to as much as possible mail in person at the outlet and to remember to ask when mailing to have the person postmark the envelope. They know me well and are usually happy to oblige.
But to give CP a pat on the back as well. During the Christmas season my mother mailed a parcel to me after noon local time in the Maritimes. She did pay extra for the few day delivery, but not the next day delivery. The parcel was delivered to my doorstep the next day before noon on the West Coast. About 20 hours in transit.

I hosted 3 traditional trains back in October. Envelopes dissapeared for weeks at a time, eventually got to the other riders. All three were supposed to be making their way back to me mid December, however I have not received any of them.

Yes, my local mail isn't usually postmarked until Mississauga so I am aware of that, but with my mail some gets there in days and others weeks. When the postmark is reported as being a day later than they leave feedback for the other trader and a local postmark it is more obvious

I'm still waiting on a trade from Jan 15th, pmd her and she said she'd 'look around to see she had anymore of the same coupons'. hmm, and then messaged me again the other day to do another trade. She has 3 ratings but I wouldn't be surprised if more people are waiting like me, seems like she's trading pretty actively

Final update on Nephora: I just rec'd my envie from her yesterday, Feb 7, 2013. I mailed my envie to her on Dec 9, 2012.
She did update the coupons she sent as the original ones had expired. That trade took 2 months and a few pm's to complete.
Not sure how to rate her. She did sent her end of the trade, it just took a long time.

I asked for the negative I gave her to be changed to a neutral. She "lost" all the coupons I requested (on two seperated occasions - different coupons both time) and when I asked for an assortment of food coupons, she sent me all crappy coupons. Yah, she sent it, but I was pretty unhappy about the whole thing. I don't think that deserves a positive.

I am really glad I have cut down massively on my trading this year. Just spent about a week back and forth with someone. Sent her a reply yesterday and she said she had traded the coupons to someone else because she had "never heard back"
Except I replied in 36 hours. So now it seems anything more than 24 hours is not enough??! Seriously? Not everyone is attached to their computer at all hours. I hate wasting my timeLast edited by torontogal12; Sat, Feb 9th, 2013 at 02:07 PM.
