So, anybody else just a little creeped out by this? It went live in my city today. We knew it was coming, everyone saw the camera car driving around, I think in the spring.
I can zoom in on my own house, down to the cracks in my driveway. Although it's not live, it's still weird.

I think it will be interesting, I mean now you can look at where you're going , if you're going to a new place, get a feel for it and not feel so lost. Also could be useful for people moving out of town and can't look at neighbourhoods before they move...

Society is becoming more and more Orwellian by the day.Last edited by thecountess; Wed, Oct 7th, 2009 at 05:33 PM.

Lmao Zonny!
I JUST got off of this streetview, I looked for my address but they didn't come near me, so I looked up a friends address and they caught her outside mowing the lawn O__O.
I think this is just a little crazy.

It's creepy to me. Thankfully I live in the boonies so they never sent their cameras this far away.

Well, my condo is there in all its glory. No people on the street though, which is surprising. Too bad none of the
city trucks which like to idle on the street illegally were recorded (& the city of course won't believe us, I even emailed a photo to my useless politician).
I figure the only place where one can have privacy is in their homes. The minute you step out the door, you're fair game for the papparazzi. Of course, I live across from a tourist destination, so I'm used to everyone and their brother having a camera.
& who doesn't have a website these days?

Hubby and i were on our way to a Dentist appointment one day a few months back and were caught at a light along St.Clair avenue west ... I wondered if maybe we're on there but thankfully our faces would be blacked out at least.
It is a little creepy if you ask me.

I am not a fan of it, and I need to research the facts fully to understand why it was ever allowed.

We checked it out last night. Our house is in the back of our complex so that's good. But they need to blur those faces more. People in their cars and outside. You can still kind of see their faces when you zoom in.
