I fell in love with the Phantom when I first read the book (before the musical). Saw the musical 3x here in Toronto, tried to convince my friends to see the Phantom Spectacular when we went to Vegas last fall, but we ran out of time. & yes, I love the movie version too.

Did you know Andrew Lloyd Webber is working on Phantom in Manhattan (I think that's the name) - sort of a sequel based on a book with that title (Fred Forsythe I think). I'm not sure if they worked out casting yet, but it's due on Broadway. Not sure what the status is, too tired now to go hunting.

I didn't see Michael Crawford as Phantom, but I did get to see him perform. He had a lovely show where he performed songs from various musicals. I grew up watching him in a really silly British sitcom called Some Mothers Do Have Em, & it was sooo hard to match that beautiful voice to the bumbling comedian.

I saw Colm Wilkinson play Phantom. I also got to see Paul Stanley as Phantom. That was fun - all these KISS fans making comments about how the mask was placed, how it almost matched his former make up. I was too young to be a fan of KISS, just remember thinking they were the wannabe Harlequins (yes, I was a weird child).

Haven't heard anything about Phantom coming to town (& I have a few sources who know these things), but will keep you in the loop if I hear anything.

Grrr, now I'm gonna have to go listen to Think of Me before I can go to bed!

LOL I saw some Michael Crawford comedy too, and it always made me smile when I'd listen to the soundtrack versions of the songs. I loved him way more than I should have when I was about 12 years old
I heard about that Lloyd Webber new Phantom project too, but I haven't read anything about it in a while. I'll have to look that up when I am less tired.
Think of Me is my favorite song from Phantom, I did it at my Julliard audition, and I think they all thought I was a bit of a fruit till I did something a bit more... classical

I just have to proclaim my love for DH. My big garden was literally getting taken over with weeds, and he completely cleaned it out for me this morning!! This chore would have taken me two days to do right now. I'm so grateful to him right now. Now he's downstairs taking a nap at the same time as DS lol.

OMG!!!! I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!!

here's basically what happened:

monday: drove bike, went over bump, put back out bigtime, still can't sit for long at comp

same day: comp won't recognize harddrive, call tech support says could be loose wire/cable or hd blown (LEFTIE: ignore my note, enjoy your giftcard )

so someone gave me a hd, and i tried to install it, but now the old one is working so i donno WTF is going on. but tg i did not lose all my stuff this time.

hubby has to go for URGENT ultrasound. it's scheduled for dec 10. OMFG WTFFFFFFF..i called up, they put him on canc list so if someone cancels he gets in, but they tried to call him in for this monday and the damn phone was off hook, so now we're STILL WAITING.

might be his aneurysm, so for those of you that pray, PRAY, for those that don't, cross yer fingers and toes, because frankly am not ready to go thru this again. omg. it will be almost 5 years to the day of his appt, when he had the sugury done.

oh, and if boo asks where i am, i'm laid up, stressed out, and almost out of $$ but did get some giftcards out this weekend with hubbys help.

looks like if i get my 2 presc, i'll have enuf sdm pts to get the wii play with remote, a $60 value.

so now i'm trying to install the 2nd harddrive as a slave.. so bear with me.. my back is killing me, my contacts are driving me nuts cause i used compressed air to clean out the comps and dust is everywhere..

That was so much my favorite that I almost got a Phantom of the Opera tattoo. When I moved to NYC to go to school, I saw it 14 times, both on the regular stage and the travelling company.. I couldn't even convince my friends to go with me after a while

Have you ever seen it on stage at all? After I am all done having babies you and I are going to find a stage version of it and go together.

I should dig out my old Phantom memorabilia and send it to you. I think I still have a snowglobe, all my playbills, autographs, etc. I even saw Sarah Brightman as Christine, just one time, but she was amazing (I still love her too Never saw Michael Crawford as the Phantom, but I still love him too!

I love phantom I have read the book and watched every version of it...yes even the silent version LOL
I bought the newest version on DVD so thats what I watch to get my phantom fix all the time haha
