LOL. This weather is great. My power blinked off and on all last night and the winds were vicious..they have subsided some and now only 96km/hr. In case the power did go I had to keep the wood stove chugging so up and down all night feeding the beast..the winds are so strong it just sucks the ash and everything right out the chimney..-10 feels like -22 with snow this afternoon.

sunny and cold. lovely day so far.
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Full sun outside this morning was making good progress on softening the ice outside! Wind lingered though.
Shoppers did not have jugs of ice melter (endcap now has washer fluid jugs and snow brushes) but Fortino's got resupply of 10kg Windsor salt bags so I bought one! Guess the SCers with their points days must have noticed the melter jugs...
Is anyone on SC in Nunavut? Iqaluit got hammered with 100+kph blizzard winds yesterday. Hope all is well in the territory today.Last edited by Ciel; Wed, Jan 8th, 2014 at 04:50 PM.

-10 right now and the sun is shining full force. High of -7 and warming up the next couple of days. We should get mail today and DH will finally get to work this afternoon after being home for 3 days with no pay because of road closures.

It's gorgeous! It's crisp outside (only -9) so hubby and I went for a nice walk. I could take this all winter.
