Storm today: 30 cm of snow. It started already. We were getting a little spoiled with all the sunshine this week.

yay! we're getting a big storm here too..nothing so far but it was sunny about 15 mins ago and now dull & grey..lots of snow in the forecast, however, the mild temps and rain has wrecked all the ponds so regardless on the amount of snow snowmobiling is over for this winter

    BLIZZARD WARNING

    Issued at 05:21 Saturday 05 March 2016

SummaryBlizzard conditions with poor visibility in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring. Heavy snow is forecast to develop later this morning. Total snowfall accumulations are expected to range between 30 and 40 centimetres by the time the snow ends near noon on Sunday. In addition, very strong northerly winds gusting up to 100 km/h are expected to develop this evening and persist into early Sunday. The combination of strong winds and heavy snowfall will cause blizzard conditions with near zero visibility tonight and into Sunday morning. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If you must travel, keep others informed of your schedule and destination and carry an emergency kit and mobile phone

Well, 2 days ago the Canada Geese started coming back! Their flight path seems to be right over our house and their honk honks woke me up. Sure sign of spring! Yippy! This morning we had a snow squall with about 5 centi. of blowing snow. Snow it is a mix of rain and snow. Lots of slush, yuk! It is melting though because it is supposed to be in the plus single digits all week long.
