Extreme cold weather warnings have been issued across several areas in Saskatchewan.
An arctic ridge of high pressure building into southern Saskatchewan will bring overnight temperatures near –30 C, with the wind chill bringing temperatures near the –40 C mark early Tuesday morning.

Here on my farm in SW Ontario, it was 1 degrees at 1:30 when I got up and that's where it is right now. It rained for about 3 hours in the wee hrs. but I can't tell yet whether there will be fog. We need to be on the road today so we'll be exxxxxxtra careful with the slush and slip. There was a very bad accident on the Gardiner Expressway last night that closed a significant portion of it down. Cautionary tale.
