Areas of persistent freezing drizzle are expected.

Patchy light precipitation is forecast to continue today and to become more extensive tonight. Precipitation will alternate between drizzle and freezing drizzle as temperatures fluctuate around zero, and then likely mix with flurries over some areas tonight as the air mass turns slightly colder.

Conditions are expected to improve on Saturday as somewhat drier air arrives, allowing precipitation to ease or end. A northeasterly flow will continue, however, for several days. As a result, additional occurrences of freezing drizzle are possible later in the weekend or early next week.
